One thread he mentions he has a V7, so should be OBD2, another he mentions a 97-98 fos, so SSM1. Damn it where's the intro thread lol
Lol sold the v7 and found a well priced 97 foz.
Was gonna get the obd2 to scan other ppls cars mainly but woulda thought it coulda helped mine. But if it doesn't do the foz, maybe there may be a diagnostic port plug-in reader thing I can get??
Mm personally I'm looking for 2000-2009 stock for pioneer while the other two are looking for double din dot matrix display type head units.
Il try search the model numbers tho I'd know it when I see it.
Was just thinking that if shops still sold slow to move stocks or fancy high end ones that were expensive in the hay day
Just after a few specific models of headunits that im wanting to install into a few cars.
(Mine and two mates) but the headunits we are after are quite old stock.
One of the models since 2005!!
So yes, if anyone knows who resells brand new- old model headunits, please let me know.
Removed the SF badge on the front. Partial Forester debadge on the back. Cut and polish all over. Tire shine and order some parts on the car to make it run better
Captain! Yer hull is at maximum warp speed and she cannot take it!!
Check and make sure bolts are torqued up right??
Can't think of anything thatd cause engine vibration from respraying a manifold except either forgetting to put a sensor in or putting it back wrong
Sucks
O well. As long as your car is running now. The redline performance one for the v7 fits well at turbo end but is about 2 inches longer and flange is off at a different angle. Just cut twisted and welded factory mid pipe. All that trouble though.
Well it's in the history books for future reference that autobend/rage do not make direct bolt on fitments for this model
Sorry to hear.
Item may be for the older wrx model. Only a slight difference in the angle of the flange that mounts up to the turbo.
I had that problem with one of my other vehicles.
Anyhow, check on the reason of why the older exhaust was rubbing on the steering knuckle (Looks to be an aftermarket one??)
Anyways, all the best.
Regards
Yeah the addzest or pioneer screens.
I was told the easiest way to use it is to buy an inverter and a USB media player and plug it into the tv control unit under the seat. Iv tested it out and it works like a treat.
I'd like the install cd just to configure a few things and try another option out though too.
Hope it helps. Inverters are about $70+ while media USB players are about $40+
Cheers
How reliable will it be and how much is cheap
Too bad the ecu doesn't have a spare port for a switch for a secondary map trigger
No need for a boost controller then.
Thumbs up to turtle for explaining it
Youd be surprised how much a set of light wide rims and/or semi slicks will shave off a time.
Drivelines and gearboxes will get chewed thru having a 4wd/awd system which is unfortunate.
As for launch control and anti lag. My problem is finding the right rpm to release at (without putting too much strain on other parts) as to 'break' tire traction in a 4wd.
My guess its not enough power output
Question.. if the struts are stiff still, not bouncy but knock. Would you get pulled up for them on a wof or road testing? Also would they just require regreasing or are they still road usable and just happen over time
Cheers!
Thanks for the reply.
I can only find one link with a pic on it at the moment:

Right now im just looking for installation and instruction manuals for that model (NVS620VD) and corresponding tv tuner Addzest TTX720.
Ps here is some more info on it that I could find:

Thanks again
Hi all,
Just got me a v7 wrx with a good cd player/minidisc 2din headunit. On top of that theres a fun dvd screen/ unit with a tv tuner kit under the seat.
Iv read a few posts on these where you can get these to work to your preferences.
Im wanting to get the dvd working via install cd (if possible) or get the tv channels to work (maybe via modulator?) or find a decent product that has an av out so I can plug it into the kit and at least use it for viewing something.
If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Russ
