  1. The getaway/thief's car would be stolen as well so the video footage would be of little use
  2. Any company that specializes in those types of cars is going to get a bad wrap as all of the cars they sell are prone to explode. Plus some of the staff are idiots. I went in there once and when I told the guy that I wouldn't have the cash till next week he told me I should buy it now on HP and then just pay it back....
  3. There is this but the bumper on this is equally ugly. Looks WRX'y. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-227210259.htm What about this? But its blue : http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-235762326.htm If you can stretch the budget then this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-237916397.htm Great for the mountain, plus chucking bikes and boards in the back Cheap Version 8? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-237056943.htm
  4. Heard any news? Is it insured for a good money? Mine got broken into a couple of days after I reduced the agreed insurance value down to $12,000 luckily they didnt get away with it
  5. Sti's don't come with Wisco pistons standard aye? So that mean the V7 Sti has been rebuilt, seems to have had a lot done to it, fuel rail's ecu etc. Looks great tho but why would it need a rebuild have done less that 50 tho ks?
  6. He showed me pic's of it at Craig's 21st a couple of weeks ago. Hope he get's it back
  7. Not a fan of the kit on it. Having the DCCD would be good fun at Grasskana
  8. Yea so is it just an forester that someone has put the running gear/engine/gearbox/brakes out of a V8 in?
  9. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-234114678.htm Anyone know anything about these? I have never heard of them, have big brembo's and adjustable center diff so must be based on the V8 or something
  10. http://www.japaneseusedcars.com/ Is good too, even has a online calculator to find out exactly what shipping and tax will cost to get it to New Zealand. Plus this is more NZ orientated unlike the other
  11. Mechanical warrenties are getting popular with dealers these days so this often stops people getting pre purchase inspections done. As they don't bother believing the warranty will cover then if the car is a dud. The AA do on site inspection, along with mobile mechanic's and the like
  12. Seems pretty expensive, not really making that much power considering the money they have put into it. Though they are pretty light car's
  13. Just failed my wof on two back tires, anyone got any hookups? after two 285/25ZR20's. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  14. I have always sold my Sti's for more than I paid for them, you just have to purchase at the right time, from the right person + lots of negotiation....

Waimauku near Muriwai Beach, on the west coast, but am in Auckland City central most days. Ahh I see your in Dargaville
  17. Only the RA's or Spec C's (Not sure which one of these it is) has them, the standard car doesn't. DPI's Spec C does!
  18. My one was really reliable, didn't have any problems at all bar the boost spikes it was getting (Because it had, exhaust and filter done). Be aware of cambelt and clutch needing to be done at around 100,000ks and 120,000ks respectively 6 speed is a great box, huge improvement on the 5 speed. Would be nice if 6th gear was a bit higher as at 110km/h its still reving pretty high. Real easy to modify these car's too as the ecu's are reflashable meaning you don't need to buy a aftermarket computer.
  19. Car jam you can either enter the vin or the plate

Here are some photo's of mine Are in good condition just covered in road grime in these photo's. Springs are dobi sport (or similar brand) LOW's. Didnt put them into my car as the difference in hight between the standard springs and these was so minimal it wasn't worth the effort. Wanting $300 for them and have to be picked up
  21. I sold my V7 Sti 3 months ago for $16k, It took ages to sell and was a very tidy car. Personally I think if you pay anymore than that your wasting your money. Buy a 16k one and then spend 3k getting it tuned/reflashed, thats what I would do.
  22. Would show up on Wof database tho so would still be in the system that you had done all the k's and wound back the clock. So yea shouldn't be a problem
