Strut Braces....

look to purchase a strut brace for my foz...

can anyone tell me who has them / which ones are best / what i should be asking for??

Im pretty sure one out of a GC8 WRX should fit your Foz. Im not 100% sure though.

Can anyone confirm?

It so happens that I have an STi carbon fibre one in my parts bin if they do fit.

I have an STi Genome Strut bar which has been painted black...not too sure what it came off but im looking at selling it.

GC8 bars should fit, carbon looking ones didn't on my car (they seemed too long)

other than that cusco etc have bars, you wanting front or rear? or both

id love both - but from would be a good start - perfer they matched too!!

I asked about a rear one and was told they were $400! That was for a cusco one though, for some reason the fronts are cheap as though... what a strange world we live in

i cant understand why your carbon one didnt fit man..

Cause my one off my foz fitted my type r wen i bought that so hmmm i would say gc8 will fit

Try a 2nd hand sti one can pick them up for 150 on trademe

i think it was to do with the "bend" in the carbon ones, it was hitting the firewall.... not hard to modify to fit tho

i had a carbon one from a gc8 on my sf5 forester, it fit perfect all you needed to do was loosen the bolt which holds the part that connects to the suspension (best way i could describe it lol)and it should be easy to fit on.

... a friend told me about "ajustable" strut braces - can anyone tell me how effective these are?

(he explained it as the just "extend" it to fit)

- im just trying to get as much info as possible... sorry if any of my questions seem dumb!!

P.S - once i have one - i have a mate thats a fabricator (built the cage in MADBAZ supra which im sure most of you have seen) that can copy them for a smaller price if anyone wants it - theyve done this with GTIR, Silivia, starlet, GTO, evo etc - they can get these painted up almost any colour!
