2000 Manual B4 Questions....

Skinon!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys i just got a 2000 b4 manual wagon, bh5 i think... ill check the codes tomorrow...

But was hoping someone could steer me in the direction of a nice deep sounding exhaust thats not too loud, and i have been reading about those zerosports turbo controllers to help out with the VOD.

I brought this car thru my business and it seems pretty standard and i just want it a little bit louder and possibly sort the vod out a bit...

Also a good intake for this? Basically want to do intake, exhaust, and ZS controller and just use it for work and getting up the mountain. Does the ZS controller affect reliability at all?

Oh yea one more thing, its lowered on superlows with standard bilsteins but on the dash theres a suspension button that doesnt really do anything. What does it do, and would it be worth hooking back up? It's go 18's with 35 profile tyres so when it hits a bump it really HITS the bump haha... Something a little bit softer would be good as it doesnt sound to good for it....

Anyway any info is much appreciated!

As far as the air intake goes you could start by taking out the in-guard snorkel. Taking it out will free up the air flow a bit and you'll be able to hear more of an intake noise as well as being able to hear the factory BOV. It's really easy remove and won't cost you a cent.

I don't know much about twin turbo exhausts but if you search the forums you will find heaps of info about them.

Adjusties are only going to make the ride firmer, you would be better off finding some decent springs. If you want a softer ride you'll probably have to sacrifice some of the ride height though

Ah yea, so you reckon remove that snorkel bit? I have searched cant really find much as in brand names and sweet f/a on tardme as far as exhausts go, just a decent cat back but im pretty sure 3inch is overkill for my application.

Yea im not too worried about the firmness of the ride but when its crashing over bumps theres something not right, it does have 35 profile tyres which cant help i spose... does anyone have a decent set of teins they have used on the street with success?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
