Anyone in the Southland Sports Car Club?

Some of us from the Wellington area are coming down to Invercargill for the ClubSport Champs run by the SSCC on 2-4 March 2012. It's a long way but it will be a great road trip and fun weekend's worth of events.

Does anyone have any advance information on the format? Our rep for the MotorSport NZ conference told me it's going to be a sealed motorkhana, sealed autocross and gravel hillclimb. Can anyone confirm this? And also what would the locations possibly be?

Any rumours or otherwise unsubstantiated facts will be gratefully received. Won't hold you to them. The reason is that I want some time to think about tyre choices and maybe even save up for tyres.

I've been trying to find some info on this too, a google search doesn't bring anything useful up. I'm quite keen to go down for it, I know thorpy is as well.

I'm assuming the hillclimb requires a roll cage etc?

No, it doesn't - no rollcage required. You can use any car, as long as it passes their (normal clubsport) scrutineering.

from what ive been told is a bent sprint to be held at the track a motokhana to be held away from the track somewhere with bigger sealed area and a gravel hillclimb venue still to be confirmed

Yea im 95% sure the gravel sprint is going to be at Southland Sand and Gravel pits on Pit rd Sandy Pt so its a mix of formed roads and open gravel areas

The seald sprint is in and around the track, pit lane and infeild seald roads at teretonga
