Remote key spare

Hello,

We recently bought a 2002 Legacy 250s. It came with 1 remote key. Where can I get another remote key for this car? And how do I program it??

Buy a new better alarm.. AVS are a club sponser and will help you out. It'l probably cost you the same price as a new remote key from subaru.

Depends if he wants the key with the unlock/lock buttons on it? I think thats what hes after :-\

The lock/unlock remote key is what I'm after. Can I ask what locksmith you work for (PM me if you'd prefer). And do you supply instructions to assign the remote to the vehicle?

otherwise its www.giltec.co.nz

assign code/method is on here somewhere : something like remove trim by drivers feet, connect loom plug, push button, confirm, unplug loom (similar to CEL procedure plugs)

edit : I think you need a key in the ignition in the "on" position too...

Loom Plug?? Where do I get one of those??

OK, I have just called 4 locksmiths in town and they all say the same thing: "no we havent got those remote keys, you need to go back to the dealer etc etc

So what's the story?? How much to get a key from the place you work at??

Or should I contact some wreckers and try to get a key that way??
