Need help with turbo info

I have a 96 twin turbo legacy wagon 1820000kms and took for a wof the other day and was told by the guy he thinks turbos going to shit them self soon was just wondering if i should get second hand turbos or buy new turbos and what are the turbo details

Thats sounds a bit vague.. Maybe pay to get someone who knows Subarus to have a quick look at it. Cost wise a brand new primary(?) turbo is $1200+ from memory so not really worth it unless you plan on keeping the car for a long time to come. Secondhand turbos usually vary from $100-$400.

There is an 18 & 19 on trademe for $120 & $50 buy nows could probably get him to combine the shipping and get a better deal than $40+ if it is infact anything wrong with them. or might find a better deal in the classifieds section here

where are you located?

do you notice/can you hear any whine from them?

do you have a boost gauge to monitor boost levels?

is your car standard or modified?

but as said above, go see someone who knows subbies for a second opinion and proper diagnosis

i can here the whine i didnt think much of it

dont have boost gauge but looking at getting 1 to monitor

and only mods are exhaust and BOV
