Problems after Single Turbo Conversion

I think it is the same connector as nissan air flow meters? (like mid 90\'s skyline type) - might pay to check but pretty sure that\'d be an easy option for you

Well just a second ago a pulled out the pins and gave em a look, they look pretty well terminated, wiggled em around and even used my crimper to verify they were fairly tight. I think its the connector on the MAF then, like the pins in the box, maybe loose solder, which people say happens alot. I guess I will say F-it and just order a new one, then I will know for sure. I really hope it is it. I don\'t think I can try anymore things after this, haha. I will order one tomorrow. I will post and let you all know if it was it or not.

Its going to take me longer to get the part since here in Japan they want over $700 US... So I went with ordering it from Subarupartswebsite.com for $300ish. I will post when I get it and when I install it.

Thanks VADZTER, I will let you know. Mine should be in, in a week or so. The place in the states was out (depleted) and they gave me a refund. Had to go off ebay and get some aftermarket one.. not sure if it will be any good. If the ones you have are the OEM Subaru part I might be interested in getting one for later down the road.

Well I am going to have to start over and look for a MAF. The advertised part on ebay was the incorrect one.. same part number, but does not fit. It is too small. I swear, such a pain in the ass.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got a used MAF in finally and it seems to be working as of right now (so far 2 hours and no stalling nor wanting to stall). Going to monitor it for a while and drive it a bit on base next week when going to work. I did notice though that the idle still seems to be a little rough, and sometimes when I pop it out of gear to slow down it will dip to about 500 RPM then go back up to the ~700ish area. I am going to try and burn this shitty gas out of it and make sure I get some high octane in it. Think that could be the problem?

I had a fuel leak issue and I ordered some nice SARD parts from out here in Japan to get it all fixed. Finally everything is looking good so far. So for those who were having a similar issue.. even if your MAF was working before the conversion, just removing the connector might jack up the pins connected to the board on the inside of the MAF. Thanks for those who said.. MAF MAF MAF. All I have now is a little idle fluctuation, Hoping it is crappy gas, but does not stall out or act all jacked up anymore. Thanks again guys for your help.
