1999 wrx stolen in whangarei

My wife\'s daily got stolen on Wednesday night

Rego CUF44

Black with sunroof

Gold STI wheels

Bit of a special edition had black and yellow interior has the 206kw RA motor and box.

Electric windows etc

Mods are

3inch full stainless exhaust

Koni adjustable shocks (standard height)

Front and rear lower strut braces

STI top strut brace

Was going to be my track car once I did the motor in our GTB up but now she\'s gone.

Took the usual with it... Car seats, pram, nav man, radar, etc.

Full alarmed and immobilised and it got take from outside our bedroom window.

I will post up a pic as we didn\'t take many of it for fear of this happening from seeing pics on FB etc.

This is the only pic of the car we have. I have had a tip that there was a Subaru getting the sh!t beaten out of it from 1:30 til around 4:30am that morning in Raumanga but no confirmation it\'s our one.

Sorry to hear this. It\'s a worry how many fully alarmed and immobilised cars are being stolen these days.

Hey all, sorry for not keeping this updated.

So after hitting up some connections the car is in Kaitaia and looks like it was taken by gang members (Tribies/rebels). I have narrowed it down to 2 streets but due to the nature of the people that took it I\'d rather move on as I have a family to think about.

Police have advised its probably being used for transporting drugs and firearms in northland.

2days after the car was taken a mates workshop was broken into, all that was taken was plates to another wrx nothing else.

So at this stage its not coming back.

I reckon this justice system is crap. My thoughts are

Thief is in prison for other offences, while in prison tax payers pay for them to do a qualification, that is Auto Electrical, gets released and is qualified to disarm immobilisers/alarms, takes cars, gets away with it, govt provide information on how well inmates are doing with trying to get there life on track with doing qualifications while in rehabilitation/prison.

My rant over haha thanks again for anyone who looked out for us

No luck in raumaunga then? Didnt ask if you had insurance?

I would say roll up and take it but if its a dealer car or transporter theyll have it under cover when not in use or away in a compound and with stolen plates itll have a shelf life. Prob 3 months or so then they scrap it or convert it.

Best chances are to track it and follow and wait till someone goes to the servo or take aways and then jack it (take it back without altercation) yourself and hide it.

Nah Mate, no luck in Raumanga in saying that I still do driveby\'s during the week etc to see if there is anything lying around haha.

Yeah I do have insurance and got the pay out just before xmas so that was good.

Yeah thats the plan if I see it I will take it back no questions asked haha and if it means there is an altercation I will just ram it with my 4x4 haha put my custom bar work to good use.
