Gf8 sti vs gf8 wrx

Hi there im looking at getting a wagon and i have found a nice low ks 1997 wrx wagon. Engine has just been done up and producing 240kw. I am just wanting to know the difference in running gear from the sti and wrx. Are the diffs the same?? R160 viscouse?? i know the brakes will be different but i already have some nice 4 pots i would put on it. Im looking at swapping it for my ra plus $500 and a td06 turbo. (my ra http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=929151020) Note his has only done 120xxxks on the body and fresh rebuild forged link etc. Was wondering if its worth it myself but mine does need ALOT of body work as you can see in the pics. Any help would be great cheers

If it were me I'd hold out for a V7 wagon instead, you can get that power out of them easy and the resale will be much healthier

That said I'm a bit cagey on anything modified, why would you sell a car with a brand new rebuild and all that gear

Good point im the same as well but i need a wagon no as a 4 door is to small. Maybe he just wants a sedan?? Could be anything

For what it's worth if you went to a V7/8 wagon or a BP legacy you'd have a much nicer car and far less of a timebomb for the same $$

Depends on the reasoning for it but I am assuming you'd be wanting a reliable quick daily rather than a rocketship with a big boot

Ive been trying to search for a nice v7 wrx with low ks. I missed one a while back. I should of brought it but couldnt get there in time. I would like something with abit of speed + the car is only as reliable on how well you look after it. Ive never had a big problem with any of my subies (knock on wood)
