2002 b4 Subaru- HELP..!? Pls

Hi Guys or Ladies,

I'm new to this forum and would love some help or advise.

I have a 2002 B4 Subaru and am having issues with it, whenever I start the car from cold the engine check light comes one, once warm and driving it goes away (which i weird) but when I do excessive speeds i.e. around 170km/hr the car kicks into safe mode and doesn't allow the car to boost properly etc. It doesn't always do it at 170km/hr sometimes its 150km/hr etc. I then turn the car off and then on, and it happens again around the same speed, recycle and repeat. Just wondering if anyone has any possible answers or advise, would be much appreciated.

Note- I'm using it for a track car. So I am not speeding on the road.. Lol. I believe the engine check code is 24 but is hard to read the flashes.

Get one of those cheap bluetooth OBD adapter from ebay, install torque app and you'll be bale to read the codes.

My bet is it's the front O2 sensor, had the same happen to my old BH. CEL on startup and when cold (O2 sensor heater failure), then it's just became a permanent CEL (O2 sensor failure).

where abouts do you live?

What revision is your car - it'll say BE5A-B-C-D on the build plate

If ABC then you can just read the flashes and don't need any cable

If D then you'll need to get it read via OBD2 and the flashes mean nothing

At least the car knows what's wrong, no need to guess
