Can you modify a GENOME STI exahaust to 3"?

so after being hit with the fact my genome exhaust tip would be choking my 3" system i put my big cannon back on and removed retuned with gotsuby (i did remove the EBC at the same time). car made way better boost and felt quicker... doesn't sound as cool or look as good but i really miss the stock look the tip gave and i really wanna re-install it, so im wondering if anyone has tried to machine out the inside of a Genome tip to flow 3" all the way and tried something similar? or will trying to do something like this just destroy the muffler and make it worthless???

think i just found the answer.. its possible but a **** load of work. So mods can delete the thread if they want to

There is a place down manawatu who customizes mufflers but yea will lose the particular growl they have. Better to just get a high flow 3 in 3 out job if you want a stock look.

yea SAS just got back to me 2mins after i posted this thread and said its a ***** of a job but possible. The thing sounded bloody savage.. think i might just save for a adrenaline R muffler
