I read your link. They are using a percentage as a generic value to cover all drivetrains.

I just calculated my cars drivetrain loss at 6%. The last dyno run was 186kW atw, with a 12kW drivetrain loss, equals 198kW atf. 12/198 = 0.06060. Far from the 15 - 17% they are claiming.

Have a chat with Gary Capper. See how his dyno calculates drivetrain loss. Its actually quite simple.
