Changing from black sti speedo to newer white face speedo

im changing my speedo to a white face speedo in my wrx sti 97 and just found out the plugs are different. is there anyway i can get hold of new plugs for this white face speedo cut old plugs off and join the new one on matching the correct wires??

this is my current situation. on of the plugs behind my speedo is shagged. so i decided to upgrade to white dash. the white dash gauge slants in a different direction my ill modify it so i can use it. i currently have a speedo cable in my car but hear i need to change to a speed sensor for this. is it as easy as this? also my plugs are longer than the white dash speedos. so i take it i need plugs off a diff loom? and rewire?

there is alot involved in doing this, you will need to get the correct loom for your new gauges from a wrecker, then you will need to cut your existing plugs off and splice the new and old looms together, as well as run wiring for your speed sensor and fitting a speed sensor. You will also need to map out what pin does what on both gauge clusters to get an idea of what wire goes where and the 2 clusters are completely different. The physical fitting is another thing to sort out and will require some extensive modification
