Check Engine Light

I have a V3 STi and the CEL Keeps going on and off.

I drive for a while then it comes on and it feels like it kind of wants to stall

I sort of coughs and splutters around in the low rev range, but when u get going over 2500rpm it is fine but the light is still on but when I am at a complete stop in Neutral it splutters a bit then runs fine and the light turns off.

Anybody know whats goin on?

I cant find the plugs.

Got any pics or diagrams of them?

mine are hidden by the steering coloum, hard to get a pic of them, search and ye shall find (i have a foz, should be similar to your car)

Are they under the surrounding covers behind the steering wheel? Or do i have to take off the lower piece of the dash?

take off the lower piece of surround under the steering wheel, by your knees when driving.

get a torch maybe. they are there somewhere.

Does anyone know where the IAC Solenoid is found on a V3 engine?

Its the thingy on the right side of your intake manifold, little box thing with a plug on top, mine has ABC written on top of it, this happened to me and i pulled it off and gave it a good cleaning with some contact cleaner, had a build up of gunk, worked fine ever since. Hope that helps

Ok thanks. do u just take it off where that small box is held on by those 2 phillips screws? because I took it off by the four bolts and took that whole area away from the intake manifold and cleaned it. and when i put it back on it idles at 2000rpm nw. and runs worse than before. I also took the throttle body off and what i think is the throttle position sensor. So maybe i put that back on wrong?

Make sure its all air tight bro, might be leaking somewhere....
