HKS Camp2 compatability with 08 Hatch

Hi - on holiday (again) in NZ and thought I'd see if anyone can help with this.

Car: 08 2.5 Impreza STi Euro import to UK. I want to fit some monitoring (oil press/temp, boost press, air intake temp) and like the HKS Camp2 (or Blitz R-VIT) system. HKS cannot tell me if it will work on my car through the standard DVD/sat-nav touch screen, so I can use the current facilities but also switch to displaying the engine data. I don't want to spend $1400 to find it won't work

HKS is a Japanese company and the core of HKS Europe's business is to supply parts for JDM vehicles that have been imported to the UK and not for UK or European spec vehicles. We very successfully supply parts for these particular vehicles for which our products have been tested by HKS Japan themselves.

It is however up to tuning companies and individuals such as yourself who wish to attempt to use our product for untested vehicles at their own risk.

I need to know if the screen is able to support NTSC format and actually has some way of connecting the AV output of the CAMP 2. Also are the signals available from my cars OBD port the same as from the JDM car ?

Looks like the Scooby owner I met, who said there were experts on here who knew about Euro/US/JDM electronics etc was wrong

There are. But I think you'll find not many people on here own that version impreza and personaly I can say I know anyone using Camp2 either. Here for $1400 you can get a plug in Link g4 which is a full ECU replacement which also has monitoring capabilities. Most people I know would rather go for that.

Will look into that. You'd probably still need to buy the sensors etc. A full replacement ecu in UK is about £1k min ($2K) which is why I thought the HKS/Blitz systems were best options. The current ecu gives out nearly all info required - only need oil press/temp sensors.
