  1. I miss snow so much... Slow and sideways is where its at for subis in the snow I reckon. If its heavy-ish snow Id reccomend against cargill unless you have chains to come down the hill, or a spotter stopping people at the bottom of the big hill. Had some bloody close moments coming down there. Going up is hell fun though.
  2. Tuesdays and thursdays are decent meet nights where I am now (just a suggestion) but in Otago obviously avoid town cruises on thursdays unless you like having drunk students around your car... Another suggestion would be dinner cruises. We do a meet every week here (alternating Tuesday Thursday) and the half way point of every cruise is a pub/fast food/fish and chips for a feed and some more of the social side of things. (Admittably Dunedin is somewhat lacking in that area depending on where you go I guess). Sorry for jumping in the thread whilst not being in Otago any more but meh, suggestions all round, it\'s only the poll that counts I guess.
  3. Noob rider shouldnt have been riding outside his abilities on a road like that. Better off in a carpark somewhere or rider training. Stupid cyclists shouldn\'t be riding on a road that is known very well for having powerful cars and bikes blasting up it VERY regularly if they value their lives. Could just as easily been an STi powering round that corner and collected them (I\'d feel more sorry for the car for getting dented cleaning them out)
  4. Sounds like an awesome idea mate. Look forward to seeing results/progress. Will the phones be partially hidden somehow or just in a mount on the dash/parcel tray? Might be tempting thieves to break in if there are two phones sitting in plain sight?
  5. Clint if you can get your hands on any tools it is really easy. If not the guys at centre city autos through in my rear shocks for $50 (including changing springs over from the old ones)
  6. Bought a new set of wheels ;D Only two wheels this time though
  7. Cheers Clint. Yeah I did this using wagon boot struts and it came out really well. One would have easily held up the bonnet but I used two anyway.
  8. Are swaybar link rods just swaybar links? If so I have four standard C shape (rear) links spare. Where are you located?
  9. Vacuumed all interior carpets. ArmourAll Interior plastics. Waterblasted matts. Took photos and put on trademe On Motorbike replaced choke cable
  10. Chulozumo is the guy you want to ask on here (unsure on spelling) use the search for "powdercoated bits" and his thread should come up i think?
  11. Depending on what video camera you\'re using. With GoPro I got really good angles with the suction cup stuck to the inside of my sunroof but obviously not all cars have those. Suction cup directly behind/below the rearview mirror gives ok pov driving shots but dont get to see any of the steering/gear shifting.
  12. Might give it a shot. I don\'t have a lot of time on my hands is the other issue. Tomorrow morning could be a goer...
  13. Looks like some twat sat or stood on it at some point. I noticed it a while ago but haven\'t got around to getting it fixed as was told it would cost at least $250 just to look at it (they have to pull all the roof liner out to see mechanism). I think its just a bent bracket or something but I don\'t really have the know how to check it myself. It leaks when raining though (fixed with duct tape currently) so I really have to get it fixed sooner rather than later...
  14. New tyres, clean engine bay. now just need to get the sunroof fixed and a cut and polish and it will be good as new...
  15. I heard of one system that was connected to the speedo and only jammed above 110 (or other set speed)? Is this possible and/or a viable option (i.e. drop anchors as soon as you get the audible warning and it will stop jamming automatically as soon as your at a low enough speed to not get a ticket?) Will the police no that there is a jammer still or just appear as a delayed reading? Could be veeery handy on a road bike...
  16. If they\'re still available on the 30th I\'m mixing with tequila. Devil drink that it is... hahaha
  17. Looks good even unpainted stoffa. I spent all day pulling different bits and pieces off and out of my car to try and find the horrible rattle/squeak that was driving me insane. Turns out it was the simplest thing that I had overlooked (boot latch). I fixed it by sliding a washer in on each side on the bolts holding the latch mechanism in place to make it a tighter lock. Also filled it up with crc which helped too. On the bright side in the process of pulling every little thing off the rear end of my car I had opportunity to autosol my alloy swaybar links, shiny and gold like new now ;D
  18. Couldn\'t find any adjustment in the latch itself so just added a washer on each of the bolts holding the latch in place moving it back into the door by about 1mm. still closes and now no rattle YAY! Thanks for the help guys, always turns out to be the simplest things aye (then again sometimes not with subies...)
  19. IT\'S ALWAYS THE SIMPLEST THINGS!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! I look like a bit of a noob for not trying the obvious part first now (but seemed to sound like it was under/outside the car to me and my cousin when we rode in the back. Now, does anyone know how to adjust the latch to make it a tighter close? Or is going nuts with CRC/silicone spray my only option. (Could tape the latch insert bit but that\'s a wee bit rough for my liking)
  20. NOT anything to do with rear sway bar. Tried swapping out the links, then removed all together and still squeaked
  21. YES Bugger is im going to be trying to sell it in a week or two so have to find it or else no one is going to buy the damn thing!
  22. Could potentially be swaybar link bushes? I\'ll swap my old sway bar links in and see if it stops it. Here is the link to the video for sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKzWS5JDx6Y&feature=youtu.be
