  1. Whens it going in? I have a tactrix cable, could pull cal id / ecu id for you if its after next weeks monthly meet Wednesday night (assuming you are coming)
  2. Yeah shouldnt be an issue. Manual or auto?
  3. There are some small tuning differences. For the most part it'll work, but it'll never be as good as a tune done specifically for your car
  4. If its the factory privacy glass then yeah its about 20%.
  5. $100 for carbon fitted.. just asked em about glare stripping, but it looks like a bit of a deal.... Hell I remember when tinting would cost you well in excess of $500..
  6. Oh hell yeah thats a mean price!!!! Should get my fronts done, wagon so rest are at 20% but fronts are clear
  7. Heya team, epic of most epic 8 year thread dredge, @Koom how did the surge tank go, and do you still have the drawings for em?
  8. i'd start having a chat to a tuner in that case. theres a lot that can be done in terms of tune, and some good gains to be had for minimal investment.
  9. is very similar to what i've done in my car, short of the adjusties and chassis bracing beyond strut braces, dif brace and front sway bar. it.. handles well
  10. ati gauge holder arrived, gauges mounted, installed. the issues i was having with the controller not sticking was due to polish, wiped down the mounting areas with a rag soaked in brakleen, stuck really well. overall i'm very happy with it. water temp is being used to monitor oil temp, doesnt worry me so much as if the oil gets up around the 110 degree mark you'd be getting worried, and these have user definable warning limits
  11. oh mayte... wheels can be replaced though, as can cars. glad you are mostly alright
  12. what wheels? nah someone pinched the wheels whilst i was at work, all i had was these bikkys....
  13. yeah fender braces have always been questionable to me, its one of those "if theres any cash left then why not" sorta mods. and having been in several cars with different types of adjustible suspension, the only sub 5k set of struts i'd consider are mca's. even the bottom of the range blues at $1500 ish landed are miles better than any bc's or d2's i've traveled with
  14. yeah, they normally reference from drivers seated position iirc
  15. i'd insist storage at my house due to the personal gear inside it and salvage as many mods as possible while it's parked waiting for the assessor, because if they write it off (they normally will for airbag deployment) you cant salvage any mods after the fact
  16. hmmmmm, 7k factory air box, with the intake resonator deleted sounds mint. my personal choice in mods: good sticky tyres mca reds rear swaybar front swaybar endlinks strut braces anti lift kit diff brace camber adjustment links in the rear a good alignment chassis bracing - think fender bracing, k bracing and the like 3inch exhaust, 3port boost solenoid and a good tune gauges (if the budget allows) cert
  17. yeah, i've driven a few cars like that, but taking unto account the restrictor, and it's intended purpose, I think it'd be a bit fun as a stage rally car
  18. that torque wall between 3 and 4k, damn that'd be a fun drive
  19. that left hand side avcs is bloody slow. pull avcs banjo filters, possibly a sensor starting to poo the bed
  20. Oh mint, been looking for the v7 sti code myself. Legend
  21. Not bad at all. About where i'd expect to see a little knock for a stock tune.
  22. Learning view snapshot is key. You will get some knock on nz fuel, normally you get a few events that the ecu learns around, pulling a small amount of timing here and there.
  23. Engine mounts in. Gearbox mount in. Holy crap, what a difference. My rear shifter bushing is Poked though. *sigh* it never ends hahahaha Aem intake is in. Holy crap it sounds good, but its a wrx specific intake. Driving home with a little bit of throttle my afr gauge dipped into the 9s so I limped it home and i'm currently adjusting my map with a wrx afm scaling.
