ClubSUB's 20th Celebrations and Mega Meet 2017!!

I have the weekend free at this point in time.... It'd be awesome to be there!! -
Its raspy as all hell on boost. Off boost its quiet and sedate. Polite, almost. Get her on song tho.... Lol Oh, also installed an oven at a mates place, and currently shopping for moar bushing goodness.... Do I really need solid (cusco or similar) engine and trans bushes? Probably not. Do I want em? Does a bear crap in the woods? Lol

Soooo, today: Pulled exhaust apart. Shoved gasket into Vbanded genome ( attached to a modified redline 3inch ss turbo back) Seperated joints, sealed gaskets with goop, reassembled. Installed whiteline rear outrigger support lock washers Installed whiteline positive shift kit (hoooooooly crap that made a HUGE difference to shifts) Saw my trans mount is a bit sad, writing list for next round of mods. Sold my "jinyu1 h-kiss ss que vee" bov for a set of alloy rear control arms. Bought red top 6 speed shift knob More tinkering with the speed density tune, the latest revision of the tune needs a LOT more work than the old ones. More logging to do. In conversation with "torqued performance" for an e-tune, lets see how this goes. Busy busy day, very rewarding

I just took to my redline kit with the help of @Subirex Automotive (ok he did most of it) Vbanded genome on a custom bashed 3inch pipe (can swap between the redline and genome tip easily)
-
Their sg5 foz kit is the same as the v1-10 wrx and the v1-7 sti kit. Fitment is absolutely shyte. Give it a bash with a hammer till it fits
-
Correct, there were a couple of different stickers they slapped on the v7 sti ecu's

S I Drive random occassional single audible beeps.

It keeps beeping too, longest drive while I had my old 3.0r was a 6 hour stint, kept shouting at me every half hour after 4 hours lol -
lol, not quite
-
yeeaahh, with a lot of the youth work i do i have to keep stuff locked down as best as i can. add me and you'll be able to see my stuff though lol

Oohh, I gots me an insta-whatsit Kiwi_fozze

Smaller, less power availability, weaker.... Audm spec Forrester turbo. First upgrade normally done by the West islanders is a td04 upgrade
-
aahh, yes
-
Your dyno chart isnt scaled correctly. Rpm / torque crossover should be at like 5252 or something around there.

It all comes down to the tune. The vf's are small, but they do well considering. I'd imagine you are fine. My old v7 was tuned to 24psi as a daily, but it'd had a lot of tinkering to keep that boost cold on the stock tmic (looooots of water from the sprayers)

Advise needed for a new time STI buyer

If yiu are in Auckland, take it for a quick test drive to ajay at @Subirex Automotive for a once over, he's pretty straight up kinda guy and if theres any issues, he'll let you know. Also... 16 owners, thats a nope from me -
1988 mitzi mirage, 1.3 cyclone with cable shifter box, $400 Loud a.f. With a straightpipe, coby mid resonator and a 2-1 extractor from a Holden cut and welded to the tip. Full of rust, never saw a warrant in my ownership. Dodgy p.o.s. Swapped it for a set of rims for my honduh
-
I'd believe their claims, post tune. The headers make a HUGE difference(in n/a terms, its got nothing on a turbo) Wanted one of their supercharger kits, bought another v7 sti wagon instead :-P
-
Yeah i'd be looking at stripping out the banjo filters etc. Also wouldnt use the wrx motor as the legacies run more boost, a gamble I honestly wouldnt personally take
-
I've had experiances wirh someone dropping an Ej207 shorty into a legacy with the legacy anciliries. Needed a tune after the work was done, but christ it goes like a cut cat. Definately recommend if considering performance mods / light tune to get the most from your setup.

It was ment as a question, didnt word it well I try again Second hand block, if going for this option do you have any come back on the seller if its already got fried bigends / they fail in 2 weeks. If you were to have a reputable builder supply and install a new engine / have yours rebuilt if its salvagable, most offer a warranty

Btssm dongle and app. I use it wired though
