  1. True, I saw the price and thought STI, good price if it was, but not so much if WRX
  2. Potential here if you're considering V7's: http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,22971.0/topicseen.html
  3. Yeah, i'm liking the STi fozzys as well, even though they look like fridges. I test drove one a couple of years ago, and it almost felt as fast as my old V10 sti. That's what impressed me!
  4. Isn't just the dial that dims and brightens the instrument cluster??
  5. I only just noticed you mentioned me in that post, and that actually isn't what i said at all, i just said that bigger isn't always better and i'd prefer a 2.0 over a 2.5L. But then i don't mind you thinking that i said that, because it's true, and not just according to me. Ask anybody that knows about Subarus if the 2.0 spec C is better than the 2.5 standard STI in terms of performance, and you'll get the same answer.
  6. That'd be my dream car. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/spec/auction-365990888.htm (Shit example though, didn't even clean it for the photos!)
  7. They were all 6 speed, well the STI's anyway. And NZ new was 2.5L, versus Japanese 2.0L. And i've never come across a V10 STI without brembos
  8. +1 I'd have a 2.0 over a 2.5 any day having driven both versions of the Version 10. Bigger isn't always better!
  9. That'd be the car in this thread.. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,19921.msg285772.html#msg285772 Only picture i've seen is his profile pic, but fairly sure it's my old car. Miss it :'(
  10. Hmm.. if that's the case then i'm doing something wrong! I guess i still have the money to do whatever my girlfriend likes : I think i need to set up an STI savings account
  11. I'm unfortunate enough to live in Hamilton, if there's a bonus to that then I'm keen to find out.. I'm reading the consensus from this thread is that there should be no issues with me sticking E85 in my 2002 GTB?
  12. Gutted :-\ Vultures circling already.. depending what you do with it, parts would be in hot demand (me included) Condolences on the loss, awesome car
  13. I put them into a BG5 legacy and they sat miles too high.. potentially the same issue with BH5's i reckon
  14. Gun size matters... shame about the car!
  15. Standard models have always been pretty fugly IMO, so who knows. Not that there's much potential there. Maybe a little fat trimmed off since the previous version?
  16. If it performs well, and if i had the cash, i'd buy it. Definitely OTT but not in a bad way in my opinion
  17. Pictures are better! But as mentioned in that thread, watch out for the screws above the ashtray if you're having trouble as they're not pictured
  18. I think it should be something like this if it's the same as my 2002: Unscrew gear knob and take it off attached to the plastic surround at the base (should just unclip). Undo the two screws that has now uncovered, then take out the ash tray and unscrew the two screws in the "roof" of that enclosure. Then the rest of the framing around the stereo and heater controls should just unclip. There'll be a couple of plugs to release from the cigarette lighter and top right where there's some buttons (can't remember what they're for, rear window demister or something like that). Up there there'll also be a screw holding a plastic pipe in place which I think is for the air con/climate control sensor. Hope that's everything, it's all off the top of my head and typing on my phone, so sorry if it's hard to read..
  19. Seems to have polarised opinions, but f**k it, I like it. And considering the reception the previous model got when that came out, this seems to be doing a lot better. STI styling and performance and I'd be all over it. Would make a nice coupe too
  20. I'd vote for Fastfour's or BT's weapons if they agreed, they're both mint
  21. I took this with my old samsung s8300 mobile. All i had to do was pick the amount of photos to take, push the button once and move the camera along. It took the photos automatically and stuck them together. Sure it's nothing on a real camera and photoshop, overexposed etc, but pretty good considering how simple it was! From memory i think it was about 6 photos
  22. "Instead of breaking the mould, we went down and found those pieces from that mould, and we put them back together" - I love it!
  23. Might have, but probably not.. sold that car nearly 2yrs ago I think. Will check and post up if I find it, but don't hold ur breath!
