  1. sure, just seems like mild steel. will source me up a hacksaw tomorrow/fri. just pretty much what needs to be done so i can start up my leggy after 7/8 months lol
  2. hey just wondering if anyone could give me a hand went to mount up my downpipe and the flange is offset by about 30degreees to where it needs to mate up to the midpipe my plan is to cut the down pipe at a straight section and weld it back on so it mates up problem is im bad at welding and have no welder cheers
  3. yeah remove intake then ya will know where its coming from, and i didnt mean the alloy pipe hehe. just the metal one that runs beside it from top tank to water pump i believe.
  4. theres 2 orings that may fail that keep pipe on block. But could also be the smaller cooant pipe that goes to the tank if thats where the rust is coming from Sent from my GT-S5570 using Tapatalk

  6. oh have a look where it seems like it comes from, wether its 1 side?, 1 part of cam covers etc
  7. i have to do it at some stage before i try run it, remember i gota go from the BBoD to a 3 port solenoid setup
  8. engines in car, gonna put rest of engine bay together tomorrow(if cruise/meetup is on sat), and quite possible wire up boost solenoid

  10. quick question for those that have done the bg5a conversion, my powersteering pump has a plug on it, had a wire & ecu connection on the TT loom + ecu etc but on the 3plug ecu/loom there is no wires for it. is this ire a warning system or is it required for me to have powersteering? cheers
  11. installed aircon pump, alternator, PS pump and associated belts. as well as radiator, overflow bottle, washerbottle airbox and throttle cable

  16. they are all hotwire/film, just the b4(quite possibly v5/6) ones are an insert type where the earlier ones it is incorperated into the housing
  17. fitted manifold found out i need crankcase breather to suit a v3/4 setup so could not fit the turbo today found out i have the correct brackets for the sti topmount i have.
  18. ok cool, it should be all good after 5pm on sunday. will get back to ya about the crane nick cheers
  19. tidied up wiring sorted out what im gonna wire up on the boost solenoid setup sorted out inlet manifold so it sits flush on the block worked out ow the cooling system will sit
