  1. In Japan you get the standard gt with 17" wheels or the spec b with 18". NZ never got the standard gt, only the spec b, hence coming std with the 18" wheels
  2. From the Africa special I think. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152397386175571&set=a.10150443948385571.641235.282681245570&type=1&relevant_count=1
  3. Turbo timer is standard with S5 though anyway, yeah?
  4. I want the Subaru mesh grille but the non surface mesh one.
  5. I think zerosports do something more or less identical. Same style and position just different word.
  6. Nice grille aye, wouldn\'t mind one myself either. No idea about where to source in nz but it\'s on japanparts.com which other members have used successfully. Just gta be willing to part with the cash!
  7. Ta. Is it perfectly acceptable to do engine flush and upper engine cleaner in the same service?
  8. What engine flush do you use Gazzy? I\'m not familiar with it so would be good to know what to get next time I do an oil change
  9. http://www.sti.jp/e/product/previousmodel/2007tbs.html "Like previous models, Brembo 17-inch callipers were fitted for the brakes" Yeah it\'s probably a pseudo sti. Could be wrong, but I\'d expect it to be a JDM-only version.
  10. Yeah lol, who knows. There is the "tuned by sti" badge on the back but I guess nothing stopping someone buying it and sticking it on.
  11. Looks legit to me, but yeah fully get what you mean. Unsure on the brembos, I would\'ve thought they had them too. But yeah all they are are a gt with sti parts, wheels, muffler, suspension, sway bars/braces etc. And think the s402s take it a step further with engine tuning for slightly more power and torque.
  12. Was looking at this exact car, Like the auto. Found one in the limited STi spec, Looks bloody nice! Am on the hunt now! If it\'s the dark grey/obsidian or whatever colour it\'s called that\'s on TM. Ask abut the car and if it\'s a genuine Sti. One of the things that make me ask that is the JDM Sti Legacy has Sti embossed seats whereas this doesn\'t. If it\'s the one I\'m thinking of I actually emailed and asked, got some kinda runaround story in reply. Are you talking about the black one with gold sti wheels? If so, that\'s just a regular GT with optional sti extras put on. If it was a true "tuned by sti" or S402 model I\'m sure the sellers would know and advertise it as such. Not to mention it\'d probably have a plate somewhere saying the car is number X out of Y.
  13. I\'ve got genome mufflers on mine, rest stock, and sounds OK. If I was to change the system I\'d probably go for an Xforce cat back system like the one in this vid: Best sounding system I\'ve heard yet on a NZ/JDM LGT. Redline told me they had it for around $1000 when I asked sometime within the last 6 months.
  14. Pumped up my tires; they were down to 28psi! Also, received the first of two suction camera mounts which I got for about $4 each off ebay (cos I\'m too cheap to buy a go pro!). Just tried the suction cup against the fridge, pretty damn impressive! Hope to do some nice driving vids with them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windshield-Mini-Suction-Cup-Mount-Holder-Vehicle-mounted-CAR-Camera-DVR-GPS-/221172208399?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4812233275397933117%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D221172208399%26
  15. Haha I was thinking more current gen Legacy, and probably impreza too for that matter! Amongst others..
  16. Still a prettier back end than many subies I reckon! Brz included
  17. Each to their own, I think that front looks way better than the 458\'s lol. The older 430 front doesn\'t do much for me either. One of the nicest IMO is that of the 550/570/super America. New California is nice too.
  18. Went for a blast through Whitford, Maraetai, and back via Twilight Rd. Good fun! It\'s awesome how well it can still pull up a hill in 5th.
  19. Ok sure, I hear you. But as I say, i would still say they have the same grille (design) despite the dimensionl differences.
  20. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/exterior/auction-547310634.htm "two different size 15cm will fit 03-04, 18cm will fit 04-06" This what you talking about? Cos the seller of this auction says it\'s interchangeable between each legacy model. But regardless of any physical dimension difference between the 3.0R grille and the GT, they have the same chrome bar design so don\'t have \'different\' grilles as far as I\'m concerned.
  21. How so? Look pretty identical to me. [quote name='Marky said: These are the single turbo ones here btw, effectively wrx in a different shell Go drive both, make up your own mind. You\'ll get so many people swear one or the other is better, where realistically you\'re the only one who knows what you\'d prefer. Kinda like choosing between I dunno, XR6T and an XR8 - they are approx the same pace out of the box, just one is more relaxed and the other has plenty of scope for simple quick bolt on power / tinkering. Agreed; never driven the 3.0R but I don\'t doubt at all that it\'s any less of a car than the GT (or vice versa). And at the end of the day who really cares, it\'s the preference of the driver that matters!
  22. Front grilles are identical across the range, bar outback. Then there\'s the factory option grilles.
  23. The only difference between GT 2l turbo and spec b is the 18" rims. And the front bumper. IMO gt spec b has by far the nicest front of all the pre facelifts. And post facelift the gt and 3.0R spec bs get the same body kit which also looks great.
