  1. Also have exp with these.
  2. Your diff will be fine... you only have 170kw remember I'll let you know if I need help... think I'll be ok. Just need to put a new clutch slave cylinder in... maybe I'll replace all the hard lines too. Possibly the brake booster as well. The brakes require a lot of force to work, and I'm not sure if it's due to low vacuum (due to cams), bad booster or track spec pads that need to be 300 degrees to work.
  3. It's going to be interesting alright. It's got quite a kick and I haven't even dared to boost it first or second yet. I'm going to try my best to have it ready for the first HVMC autox on the 29th of this month... probably the worst possible event to start off at
  4. Been for a bit of a test drive, the car is going much better since tuning. The Butt-O-Meter was very convinced that there is an improvement. koom: BP98. evowrx: don't know about cams unfortunately. Headers are stainless UL 4:1... no branding that I have seen.
  5. lols. I did think you were bull ****ting about 179kw but have analysed your Ararata Rd footage (compared it to my flat 2 minute run from last year) and determined that you don't have a great deal of straight line speed but were carrying a lot of speed through the corners... so bravo
  6. yes still got the five speed, and the twat I bought it off put an earlier DCCD box on with the weaker case. So def need to be conservative with launches etc.
  7. ok, so wastegate sorted... It wasn't plumbed in right. doh. It only has a 14 psi spring though and the motec boost control isn't working well. motec say a firmware update is required, but I don't have the password to update it and they won't provide one So, STM have just chucked a boost tap on for now, and have it running at 22 psi and it's making 286 kw. It's a pretty conservative boost level and tune just in case there is an oil problem. But that's heaps of power for me, and I can always go back and get the boost cranked up when the motec is sorted out.
  8. Thanks...and yes I was going to stay with a standard setup, but that all changed a year ago to the day when my car was stolen, never to be seen again.
  9. Yes and probably more than enough power really... it's going to be challenging using it all effectively anywhere but a track.
  10. closed deck block, v5 heads with cams. fingers crossed the wastegate can be sorted without too much fuss.
  11. Not sure exactly what boost made 260. He said it was boosting at 16 psi and would creep to 20 psi, but it would creep a different amount each time.
  12. Tune not quite done... there is a problem with wastegate creep so not tuned on high boost yet... but making around 260kw so far. Oil is not been used according to them, but I won't believe that until I've seen it with my own eyes.
  13. Finally dropped it off for a tune Though I shouldn't smile at this point... wait until they can actually tune it and the oil usage stops.
  14. secondary air pump? is that some twin turbo thing?
  15. The slave is mounted with the piston pointed up... the bleed nipple and the feed hose are lower than the piston... so fluid will come into the back of the slave and right out the bleed nipple leaving bubbles higher up present.
  16. No reason to think yours isn't fine... mine just started playing up out of the blue though... so I might still have something not right, or it could just have been really old fluid.
