  1. As above need evo short block bored, planed head/block for mls gasket, size up bearings/crank, balance, and possibly assemble depending on price. I have all new parts. Want a 300kwish engine so want a good job. Hoping someone can help either for cash or deals on new parts or tools. Based in northland but can travel to auckland if cheap.

  3. Heres a bunch of photos ive collected up of split fuel rail set ups. should be able to work out something from the pictures to suit you rail set up. ive just pulled these off the internet so if these are you pictures and you dont want them here i will remove them just ask.
  4. sounds like the same problem. ive welded the internal up now just got to go for a blat and try it havent had a chance yet.
  5. how do you adapt the factory reg to a hose on inlet side? i bought adaptors for the rail but cant adapt the rail side of the reg if you know what i mean.

  7. google for pics. pretty self explanatory really when you get manifold off. sure theres a sticky in motor section? set up will depend on what reg you use afetrmarket or standard.
  8. people do wire them shut but ive always welded the flapper shut.
  9. doesnt make any difference like i said as it starts at about 7psi when it starts to open. its not boost/rev/fuel cut. i have run it at spring pressure 10psi. ill weld actuator arm tonight and see if theres any difference.
  10. external gate. i have set it up for external. its single channel so just turn the knob and it works. it is working/boosting fine just splutters away.
  11. as above the wastegate sounds like its sputtering as it comes up to boost. running 14psi with hdi electronic boost controller on a v5 non sti. i havent welded up the internal gate yet could this be flapping open? its not a sticky gate or anything it sound like its opening and shutting repetitively even when it reaches 14psi. it holds boost fine to the rev cut it just sounds like a strangled cat coming on to and holding boost. starts at about 7psi when the gate starts to open through till 14psi.

  13. it goes to the purge tank which im taking out anyway. ive plugged the lines so no vacuum leaks. hasnt thrown a code yet and runs fine. it shouldnt make a difference just didnt want a cel. easier to delete when i flip mani any problems ill let you know and get that one off you bro cheers
  14. its a v5/6 non sti gf8. will be using standard ecu. running vf23 front mount etc. more after peoples own experiences with sublab tuning. if good results have been had why not use them... kents always been a bit of a knob to deal with for me but gets good results.
  15. has anyone had a tune at sublab whangarei? warren does them i think. hes had a few years on the job just wondering what sort of results people have had. seen a v5 non sti on trade me hi boost vf30 and breathing mods 160kw atw i think tuned by him. sounds a little low i wouldve thought even if dyno was off. tossing up between him and speedsource ive used speedsource before. Other option is to go to auckland if so would use GCP.

  24. figured it was just a switch on the line. ill delete it with the canister just needed to know if it effected ecu or anything?
