  1. chuck a big funnel in the header tank then fill that like half way ish up and run it till warm. That will tell you everything of a obvious or nea obvious BHG..

  3. What seems to be the problem with it ??? You do realise you have to adjust the WG BASE, WG SENS, WG RPM to get the boost right if your using the factory controller. isant what your looking at the map/boost limit table not boost controll lol? (could be wrong as im from G4 world lol but sure looks that way!)

Yeah well thoes are the subby simtoms but if its stopd them and its not getting hot and your water is still in there then yeah what else can you do but drive it and see how you go if you dont want to do a leakage test. Even that wont save you knowing if its close to being blowen now only time will :-\
  5. They sure dont like getting hot . Is yours a steel headgasket motor?? (asking cust I know shz been swappd rnd in yr ka). That could have very well been the case, your warm water was boiling off hot block insides cusing it to spew it back out. Do a leakage test to tell you the truth but from what your saying now sounds like you may have escaped just but yeah cant see the car so cant give my diagnosis lol

    I reckon ull have issues just as they can do about 20% dif on yr map sorta thing. an increase for 390cc to 440cc inj is 50cc (capabale) but 440cc to 565cc is 125cc difference (I doubt youl get perfrct - itl asways be a little bit rich). You can only try tho . Just know it couldnt run 450cc lean enough in my honda when the map was for 290cc. thats 160cc difference so bit more then your asking but stil was rich to the point where itd puff black on idle (not heaps but dif there) and make my bumper black lol

Oh was just a thought as thers a ECUTEK v8 sti ecu for sale that I could buy and then just get a retune at torque vs doing my ecu frm scratch. bound to be cheeper as there are licence fees with ECUTEK that torque will have to charge to do the software on my ecu. Was just an idea at this point and if I didnt end up using fo some reason sill have a V8 STI to put it in . Thanks for the info/comments once again

  13. ill have a watch now, I when I raced him he was 275wkw and did an 11.5. Good to see hes going faster lol. Yep thats what I say rubber is good...but thats when things brake why I was not so eager to try them lol. Gutted I didnt now but ohwell. Will be interesting to see what yours does when it gets some on it. When you next hitting the strip? Might be there to do 10s.... but not on 4 wheels this time

  15. 250kw atw did me an 11. Ninja ment to ask u got that vid on your camera or lappy? That was a punchey 250 aswell not aome lazy T4 250kw lol. I agree I would have been strugling to get into the 11s with 236kw in a street trim car but yeah all sorts of storys exist but youl never know without FULL details etc

Its funny how much more power you need to go 0. somthing of a second faster when your already going prety fast. to go from say 11.8 down to a 10 sec pass = ALOT more power not like going from a 13 to a 12 for example 12.2 with 180wkw is majic tho would of luved to see a dyno run then stright onto the strip lol. But yeah alot of other factors come into it as stated, weight, driving, rubber etc How many wkw to do a flat 11 now?? vs 180 doiung 12.2.
  17. Id say so. must be some punchey s**t lol. All that and still got A/C typical NOT New Zealand lol. The supercharged idea on its own would be good for boosting a N/A like in the 1st few as theyd probably take it for a while and would make for some good drivibility and torque especially on all the 2.5L they have over in the states etc. Other then that Turbo all the way...maby that supercharged turbo is an exception ;D
  18. yeah it takes getting use to when your down a 1/4 mile. especially paying attention to those lights and launching!! i had no idea how many wkw old gf8 would have had guess round 160-170wkw and managed a 12.9 max at like 170ish kph. and yeah weight etc and just give the box a whole load of gear banging!! and a whole lot of no interior lol. Semis would have solved my problem but ohwell another day, did what I wanted to do lol
  19. You dont go to meremere enough then Track wont brake your drivetrain unless its really weak or yeah some1 that can change gears properly
  20. its different for each car like i said it just takes time and experiance to get it bang on first time.... yea was originally gonna go try d tech but the mongrel never rung back haha,dave at pf did it he said just to bring down and hell sort it out but next ill try d tech i think Dave @ PF has tuned one of my G4's before and it was mint as a modded motor with big injectors can be expected to idle when cold (def no stalling ect tho). So proves he can do a good job ;D.
  21. Whatd these "R160 suretracs" suposidly come in? V2 STI RA or somthing????? I go with the slightly less abusive clutch idea if you dont like changing sh*t as I went through 5 boxes and vairous other components in 3 months (ask spencer) Yeah good bit more power then yrz is but I changed the clutch and went to a widend gearset and problem solved! Each to their own for sure tho but man the tow truck started becoming a hastle lol!!
