  1. Yeah ive heard that, ive also heard they are rather snobby in what customers they take on and are pretty pricey. Ill flick them an email though.
  2. Havent decided yet, was thinking of torque performance since they seemed to get reasonable power out of my old bosses completely stock 05 sti and localish to me. But open to suggestions really, I live in Mt Albert/work in taka.
  3. was a powerfc i bought of here a couple of weeks ago. 200ish kw should be fine for now.
  4. Sweet thanks for the info. The shopping list is fitting right in budget then I was looking at around 2k to hopefully do everything. $450 ECU $200? Fuel pump $1k tune $200ish new oil/filter/spark plugs/air filter/gearbox fluid/any other service bits and pieces. (also due to 150000kms and upcoming trackday) So by the replies in here thats about all i need?
  5. Is it worth doing the z32 afm thing, as it seems the aussie guys find the PFC pretty popular and all seem to do it.
  6. wow, that looks good, what other mods? id be happy with that..
  7. Yeah fuel pump was on the cards, not a huge expense and seems easy enough to swap over. Is there a generic go to EBC to purchase? something for a few hundy?
  8. So I bought a PFC ecu which ill eventually get dyno tuned, what other things should i buy to make the most fo a basic tune. Currently have 2.5in turbo back exhaust with an otherwise stock engined v6 STI. Ill look at upgrading the fuel pump? and the tuner said the intake will outflow the turbo so that doesn\'t need changing, is there anything else I should look at. Does the normal PFC do the boost control or do I need to buy an aftermarket EBC? They seem to think I dont need one but ive read mixed answers. Aiming around the 200kw mark I guess. Ill also put new oil/filter etc through as well.
  9. Usually around 11-12L/100km with mix of open road/town. Best of 10.8L/100km, worst was 35L/100km (track)
  10. I managed to finally get under 11l/100km the other week in my rex
  11. Sweet, they both seem to be around the 200$ mark form quick looking.
  12. Fuel pump upgrade, walbro vs deatschwerks? or are they both pretty well the same goodness.
  13. I think my STi is just shown as an impreza on rego/carjam
  14. Yes we have discussed this beforbefore in the reverse
  15. Screencap of getting car muddy complete with exhaust flame Filthy car really needs a clean. When it was somewhat clean
  16. Ive used yellowstuff/Ultimates. Ultimates only lasted 2 trackdays so wanted something a bit better that would last. Brake performance with the yellows was pretty good, never had them fade even after an 11 lap stint at end of the day. I got them because they are supposed ot last twice as long as most comparable pads, I am much too lazy to swap them out. They seem to work ok on the road as well, just dont expect to stop in a hurry in the first couple of km, just a bit noisey as well. In saying that I had no real issues with the performance of the ultimates, they just turned into dust after 2 trackdays.
  17. BOV was on the car when I got it so not sure. It doesn\'t idle funny as such, its more if i stab and let go the throttle itll rev up then drop down to like 200rpm then go back to normal idle. I though it might be a BOV issue, plus I get sick of the noise sometimes so was looking to replace it. Does that sound like anything else it could be?
  18. So, i have an Greddy BOV on my sti that i want to swap back to factory, or go for one of those GFB adjustable ones to see if the vent to atmo is causing my idle issues. What bits do I need? a Y pipe or something?
  19. I was told to adjust your line for the final sweeper onto the main straight, do more of a tight V line instead of hugging the inside to help save BEB. So go in deeper into the corner and turn sharper. It might be a little slower but its not a big issues in the scheme of things. Also if you can, bring a 20L jerry cna of gas, its annoying having to keep leaving to get gas. I ran out of gas by lunch time, filled up and ran out again about 3pm.
  20. Taupo Track 1 - 1:50.09 - V6 WRX STI H Downs - 1:21.12
  21. ha, my v6 does the same thing, happens when if i back offf the accelerator too harshly usually on the motorway. Thankfully it doesnt do it at trackdays.
  22. Chucked my gauges in finally. BIT blurry but shows how they are mounted in cheap 8$ pods. Will eventually get a proper gauge pod for them but itll do for now. Dash seems a lot more dull, its not as bad irl.
