Could always just get a Ver8 STi engine and drop that in, factory ECU and re-flash (or Link + tune, which ever).
Should fall within $5-7k depending which road you take with the ECU.
Can still sell off the old complete engine to somebody who's lunched theirs, to recoup some costs.
My relatively factory Ver8 STi engine made 236kw atw. And is very drivable with the twin scroll turbo (early power).
This is for a road car is it? If your not going to run DCCD there isn't much fun in having a close ratio GB, they rev a lot higher in 5th gear which is a bit of a PITA on long trips etc.

Could be in here. CBF looking for it though haha

Warren is still fairly new to the tuning scene, it's alot more of a risk then taking it to someone with more experienced. I've just never really had much success with anything that Sublab has done with my cars tbh.
Got mine tuned at GCP, but yea that was a link, and as mentioned he prob doesn't do standard ECU.
Wasn't the semi-forged thing covered a while back in another thread? Something about semi-solid forming.
Edit: Here we go.

Have to ask, how many kms did the Starlet engine reach?
Today, washed the Ute/cleared the deck of the copious amount of crap, ready to pile bikes on for a trail ride tomorrow.
