  1. To be fair I wouldn't have even called that stretched I'm on 17x8 and running 215 and those aren't stretched I don't think. So surely 9.5" wheel running 265 isn't either haha
  2. While they're good for bigger applications, this I think it'd hurt performance more than it'd help. As for Intercooler, its up to you. a nice dense core but that coolers super well, but trades off with lower flow. intercoolers nz or something did a pretty good one for Furzes car. I'd do my own piping if I were you btw.
  3. Yep that's the FPR that I've got. Good little unit. and yes, a pressure gauge is a must. As for the downpipe, I'm just meaning while the turbo might bolt into place, it's exhaust housing might be longer or just slighly different orientation, requiring some changing of your downpipe. It's unlikely but just something to remember. That's a good idea about the Boost controller. I personally see no point in having it other than a gauge. Even then I'd just have a gauge haha
  4. If you call NZ Performance, They'll tell you, and they'll probably give you different hats for the injectors because I believe the new x range of ID's are slightly shorter (for our stock rails anyway)? Anyway, just call Paul @ NZ performance and he'll help you. If you're aiming for something above 240-250kw, don't waste your time with a FMIC unless you really don't like front mounts or just like spending money. Lots of expense with minimal returns imho. Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator. Don't skimp. Your exhaust may or may not fit with that turbo. /me shrugs. If you've got a 2.75-3" you'll not need an upgrade. As for your boost control, you should really be using your boost controller with the link. Not standalone, so I'd suggest changing that if possible. If you're changing boost after you've had a tune, then you're asking for a blown motor anyway. So just run it through the link.
  5. Are you coming to flatnats? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  6. Probably is rather innocent. Funny none the less I'd say since it's a van, likely a brick layer or something.
  7. He's not wrong you know Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  8. Remember that my fuel system is already paid for. So while it's worth about 2k it's all good to go and what not Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  9. Didn't do it today but on Tuesday went and collected the fuel system and intake manifold for my RA and started prepping it to go onto Furzes gc8 for flex fuel and e85. Amongst that, the engine is coming out for a clean up and new valve springs.@gotasuby will be tuning it down in Christchurch for flatnats too. Oh, also bought a 200L barrel of e85 for that weekend. Should do the trick. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  10. The combustion chamber is filthy as heck due to when Ajay was diagnosing or checking etc, he had it running for a bit at idle and it was smoking like a mofo. my bet is this pushed all the oil through and is what you're seeing burnt onto the pistons but once again, I don't know I can't say if it was burning oil prior to this, as I never saw blue smoke on start or while driving, and whenever I had the car running it was running (before this of course) it never showed signs of oil burn. It's a bit late for it now regardless as I don't know.
  11. Got to Remember he's including a brand new clutch, and custom valved MCA red suspension on top of his entire v10 STi driveline and hub / brake conversion with wheels too since 114.3... So actually 10k is a pretty good price point. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  12. Haven't had any oil pressure issues no. As for AFR, should be logged under lambda 1 Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  13. It shows to have burnt oil as a ton of it got pushed through into the intake tract and into the cylinders. At least that's what @Subirex Automotive my mechanic said to the best of my memory. It was just tuned the One time on Dyno. I'll PM you some more information @west_minist
  14. That's a fantastic question, to which I'd like the answer. The tuner believes it to be a trigger problem. However, I've since had all my engines triggers (crank, cam angle etc) all tested and they're good. Meanwhile I've got a different point of view from others which point it in another direction. Being vague as I don't want to point fingers as I don't 100% know yet and it's extremely hard to tell photos of my motor here. Also for reference. That was a newly built motor with at most 4500km on it.
  15. Not all that happy. Have to get a retune once I rebuild my motor again. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  16. Nooooo! That sucks man! You get their details and all I Hope? You all good? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  17. Same one I have. Sah nice Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  18. lol dat smoke machine doe Yeah it feels great! To be honest though I really did like the feel of the 5 speed, but 6 speed is just something else.
  19. Can confirm. Have held satans knob in hand. It hurts. Weirdness aside, best gearknob I've ever bought was my S204 one. It's pimp as hell, looks good, feels good and has a nice weight to it.
  20. Yeah definitely the cost of a 6 speed is a bummer. I should know on that one a 5 speed can be as strong, but it requires pulling it apart, putting what's known as 'blast plates' inside to stiffen the box casings, and then dropping in a stronger gearset from the likes of PPG etc. If you can do that S*** youself, you could have a stronger box than a 6 speed. Downside, if you break one of those, it could well cost you more to fix it than a 6 speed
  21. awwww no. That sucks haha. 6 speeds are nice. Trade off is weight.
  22. To be honest, yes I see people get antsy but usually it's an issue of their mentality in general. Not towards just Subarus. I'm not a saint either however. Some people really piss me off by just sheer idiocy or how uncourteous they are on the road. For example, people who see you're indicating and wanting to pass up passing lane but put out infront of you only for them to take a millennium to pass and even longer to get back in their bloody lane then get crappy at you and high beam you when you mash the throttle to pass them. Or on highways where PEOPLE WON'T MOVE TO THE LEFT even though it's the god damn law.
