  1. MBC on a 2nd gen twinner, does it go between the turbo nipple and wastegate or stay the same way as the factory setup?
  2. Should be between the compressor nipple and t piece if it's there.
  3. On the daily: Added the Zerosports intake pipe, Snorklectomy. On the project: Removed back seats and some interior trim to get to the cut seat belts, removed cut seat belts in the rear and driver seat. Just have to buy stuff now to go any further with this one.
  4. I have the plates in the boot, yes it was stolen and recovered, bought it off the original owner.
  5. What did you sign up for? Likely to ask noob questions Where did you hear about clubsub? Googling speaker sizes a few years ago What would you like to see more of? Nothing that can be changed really. If you often visit but never post is there a reason or do you feel you get what you need without asking? Usually if I look hard enough I will find what I'm looking for. Otherwise I will answer questions if I know 100% the answer. Is there anything that you don't like? Not really. What would persuade you to become a paid member? Nothing, I will one day when I stop being lazy about it. Are the forums/stickys easy enough to follow? Yes.
  6. Picked it up last night. Had another look around today to see what I need for it, exterior only needs a grille and driving lights, interior a rear seatbelt and some bulbs. I guess technically tyres as well but those can wait. Engine bay needs the most attention, just hoping that when we put the cambelt back on there aren't any bent valves.
  7. Yes it was from Facebook. It's all fixable so should be a good learning experience.
  8. Went and looked at one.. Picking it up tomorrow as a proper "project". 1993 BD5a GT with the leather interior and.. auto. needs a bit of love but was only $600.
  9. Does the "drift spec" steering wheel have an air bag, or are you going to get a cert just for the wheel?
  10. Hit up fbssub1 on here http://clubsub.org.nz/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=10475
  11. Would a shagged Radiator/header tank cap cause the overflow bottle to... "overflow", and the header tank to be not full when cold in the morning? What Bar cap should be used (someone chucked a Syms sticker over mine), any ideas if not the radiator cap? Temperature is always normal (below mid). 1998 BD5 rev c
  12. Took it to VTNZ to get another clean sheet WOF .Was a bit worried about an exhaust leak but they didn't pick up on it, then minutes later some old ladies Outback is picked up with an exhaust leak, uh-oh
  13. Changed rotors and pads by myself for the first time ever. Not that big of a deal. Would've been nice to change callipers too but nope have to wait for bigger rotors to turn up. So maybe a few months or weeks away for that.
  14. Does anyone know off-hand what the rear BP5 rotor diameter is? I have some BP5 callipers here, was supplied with rotors that are the exact same diameter as my BD5 ones, and the brake pads stick out a few mm. So no doubt the incorrect diameter. Edit: Okay seems to be 260mm currently and 274mm is what's supposed to be used.
  15. Had my V7 STi full cover through NAC. was costing me I believe $1200+ a year at 18. Dropped a tiny bit the second year but wasn't really noticeable. Only used them for a windscreen replacement and were easy enough to deal with. This was insured for 12.5k. My RS-B I have 3rd party/fire/theft+glass cover for I believe $250/yr through state. Insured at 5k. Couldn't get insured through AMI or AA at age 21. NAC wanted over $1k/yr for this car full cover so I very quickly lost interest seeing as I only paid 2.5k for it. Clubauto were a bit cheaper but still way too high considering the cars real value. IIRC NAC wanted $650 odd for 3rd party fire/theft and Clubauto wanted $530 or so for the same.
  16. Cheers. Thought that would be the case but wanted to make 100% sure before shelling out for the brackets.
  17. So I've just finished looking over the single turbo conversion thread again (where I first read about the need for intercooler brackets), and I see "If you get an STi intercooler with your y pipe, you need to find a V3/4 intercooler bracket, they are damn hard to find!" Does this mean that if I were to go to a v3/4 STi top mount I WOULD need the brackets, and if I went to a V3/4 WRX (Black "JDM one") top mount I WOULDN'T? This will be going on a TT setup so may not even matter, and when changed the turbo to intercooler pipes will be changed to silicone so could be lengthened/ shortened if they needed to be.
  18. Yes, BG5B and C EJ20R came with yellows and orange AFM.
  19. Trimmed up bov vacuum hose by a good foot+. Loosened the cover a bit as I possibly overtightened it a bit, big improvement but think I still need to go to a V3/4 intercooler/30mm hose/adpater for the desired sound.
  20. Vacuum hose going to bov, is there such a thing as too long? Anything to be gained by making it shorter? Don't want to cut my extra hose supplied if it doesn't do anything/ makes it worse. EDIT: I'm an idiot.
  21. 98 RS-B owned it about 6 months, bought at 108k now at 113100ish kms. Only a baby.
  22. Found on Facebook, that poor Skyline
  23. The $2.189 sounds like what I would pay for gull 98 with 10% ethanol around here? Maybe that's the difference? Edit: And just labelled incorrectly..
  24. Silicone under intake manifold pipes. Were they ever made for TT BD/BG Legacy's? I see some were made for Rev D/E BE/BH but look like they wouldn't quite work with the older gen.
