  4. someone correct me if im wrong, but to run a twin scroll setup correctly you NEED equal length headers...

  11. been my issue for the last year... but im ditching single when i go big turbo. Gotasuby has had mad results from twin-scroll hx35 on a 2.5L.... 27psi by 2700rpm or something. The possibility to run more boost, on a bigger turbo and still spool fast is awesome, not sure how much more lag a 2.0L will have though...
  12. yea with external waste-gate plumbed in... 22psi. Dont forget if you only half throttle you'll promote the surge more than full throttle in some senses, definitly going up hills. also with my old ebc i could run low gain and as a result no surge/flutter, but i hated the lag. sounds like you've pretty much got it sorted... but all iv heard is vfs are all about it and only why to get rid of it is to go big turbo....
  13. no not entirely true. my vf30 surges hard on full throttle until high rpm, and also surges coz bov is pretty tight of throttle.... what turbo are you running and boost?

  17. Finally got around to getting the re-circ hose re-installed so i can run my gfb 100% plumbed.... so so good

Bump, so iv been talking to a few mates about legacy vs v8 sti headers and im thinking legacy headers would reduce lag and improve throttle response etc due to running smaller id runners 36mm (sti 38mm)... does anyone know at what power level the legacy header would chock at....or personal experience... I aim at 300ish wkw on future engine with a gtx3071 or simlar. just trying to get all the nuts n bolts worked out on what i need to start hoarding. legacy heards are real common and cheap....

  20. Filed the warped flang on the external re-circ pipe and ree fitted to elimiste exhaust leak 😄 *don't buy cheap flanges they become nightmares. * v-band wastegates are c&$ts to work with... can the v-band stretch if removed and re fitted to much?

Go better in the sense it feels better while driving, ie smoother on de-accl, + sounds better and looks better. not talking about power gains or loses, however i think the negative effects on my stock engine car is going to be low to none. But yea i have thought about the effects of reducing to that smaller diameter. As for "cool" its hardly flashy or big and obnoxious... it looks stock.... because it is stock. Ill put my cannon back on and see if i notice any differences....
