  1. Im not free till after 1pm tomorrow, about but free after that. PM me the details and ties. do you mind if I ask what it is.
  2. When do you need it picked up?
  3. No wires there and no button, so all good with the non heated window on order. Thanks for the help
  4. I can't see any, Im guessing they would be pretty obvious looking at the screen from the outside
  5. Does a 1998 BH9 legacy wagon have a heated windscreen. Im guessing no, but need to clarify for replacement screen.
  6. Cracked the front windscreen on the way to work. -2 morning with heater going, small stone chip and bump in road and crack. Luckily I have windscreen cover!
  7. I gotta say i fitted a STI front strut brace to my BH9 and definatly felt the difference. Felt a lot better going round corners, also fitted a no name adjustable brace in the rear. That definate made a difference to how it felt
  8. Changed the top gearbox mount. The original one had a lot play at the gear box end, feels much better now and the annoying noise at idle has disappeared. Also finally got round to putting new plastic tee section in PCV valve pipe to connect it back to Torque box, but while doing that broke the vacuum hose off the fuel line!!! the mtb bike pump hose is a good temp fix. seems most plastic/hoses are going brittle.
  9. Pretty sure that the C after the BH5 is the revision number, so yes you would be right - not reflashable
  10. That would explain it, now I look at the photos again. Didn't put 2 and 2 together.
  11. Sorry but I have no helpful info, just a question regarding Photos 3 and 4 on the first page. They show marks in the combustion chamber around the valves and spark plug, was this caused during engine operation or from trying to get stuck valves out? it seems strange to have damage there. Also in the same photos it looks like the combustion chamber looks a little oily on one side compared to the other chambers is this anything to do with your issues?
  12. I had issues with my radiator/thermostat. They replaced the radiator/thermostat and that seemed to cure the problem, but I had a visible leak. My leak was at the radiator cap/overflow hose connection, it would lose its contents over the radiator interior of engine bay. But before it was fixed it would occasionally smell sweet when putting a big load on the engine (at the top of the crown range). Defiantly check all hoses and keep an eye on the coolant level. If you have to do a big trip without being able to check out the system properly I would allow extra time for letting it cool and take a lot of spare water.
  13. Try this it looks like it might answer some or all of your questions. I haven't actually read all of it (just skimmed over. http://www.subaruofkeene.com/subaru-cvt-transmission.htm
  14. I had that problem, the guy said he would do the change of ownership and didn't. Ended up costing me about $200 in registration fees even though he had got rid of it at that point. I sold the car to him for $200 so didn't make any money off it. At least he didn't get any fines.
  15. Any ideas on the best way to clean the throttle position sensor (if you can)? I have done all the other things AFM/filter/plugs/upper engine cleaner and wouldn't mind cleaning the TPS if possible. also interested in resetting the TCU
  16. I like the grill, wouldn't mind one of those
  17. Well not technically something I did to the car. The dog decided to chew one of the rear boot panels!!!!! Will now have to head to pickapart to see if they have one to match. I thought he had grown out of this, between them my dogs chewed out the entire rear of my last car! Also will be picking up a rear strut brace today ($20 on TM), not specifically for a Sub so hopefully won't need to modify to fit.
  18. Mmm tempting, but my budget for my car at the moment is about $40 for the foreseeable future or until vet bill paid. But I was able to do a new filter and plugs as well, wow what a difference runs so much smoother.
  19. That is the plan. Im keeping an eye out for one now. As a N/A most of my fiddling will be with suspension. (just saw one at Strongs, but have now run out of money!!! damn dog surgery taking all my money!!!)
  20. STI strut brace installed. Took it out for a spin before and after installation. Felt alot better up front with it installed.
  21. Emptied out all the water from my rear tail light when opening up the boot/tailgate (not sure which one for a wagon). Tonight will be to fit my new strut brace that has arrived!! and see if I can seal up the leak.
  22. New spark plugs. a lot easier than I thought. runs much smoother now.
  23. According to the info I found online with my Chassis code it was July 1998. The ACC website just gives the year, so as mine is 1998 even though Gen 3 it comes under the different category (change over date is 1999)
  24. I have a gen 3 legacy but as mine was manufactured in 1998 it is going to cost more, even though it is the same as a 1999-2000. So I end up paying more because of when it was manufactured.
