I mean they're the same octane rating, they won't be all that different. As @delta said, probably just additives etc.
It's not like Gull which uses an ethanol blend to increase the octane rating to 98.
I used to use BP 98 only til the beginning of the year where they started to increase margins and Mobil ended up being 10-20c per litre cheaper at the pump before any discounts.
Side note: Mobil also does 10c discount days and 4x Smiles Points days too.- 2

Haha best part is in the last 15seconds
My only regret is not having my camera facing slightly more to the rightSo glad that it was only minor. Hence me running over and waiting for you in pit lane. Looked way worse from that angle.

Those shifter bushings from Corgiwerx are amazing. Had mine in for a week. Hella amazing!
MRW after I fitted them:
Edit: suggestion @Andy_Mac - should someone start a Tools thread, so we can all drool, and talk too much about tools? Just seeing 1randomkiwi's post about his new Ryobi stuff

Just a place for people to share what tools they have/use/recommend etc.
Pics or links are great.
What tools are your recommended "must haves" for working on Subarus?
Thanks @Individualities for the thread suggestion.- 2

Threw a check engine light today, got the code read and it's an o2 sensor, I don't understand why the buggers are so expensive... Mechanic reckoned it was $550, I've found a few cheaper ones but nothing under $450, except AliExpress for $50 but don't think I want to go down that route
I cross referenced mine against the Denso part number (who often make OEM parts for Subaru), and then just ordered the Denso one from overseas (UK iirc).
Ended up being about $200. -

I love my Ryobi 18v Impact Driver and Angle Grinder. Also have the large buffer and a drill. Got my eye on the tyre inflator.
Yeah, I'm looking to get a shoplight and buffer at some point too.

Bought myself a few cordless power tools. Should make working on the car a heck of a lot easier in future.

I have a suggestion.
Can we have more pictures of 'cars' in the calendars. The 2018 calendar has 4 out of 12 pictures of whole cars and I think it should be at least 8. I get bored of looking at a wheel, start/stop button all month. I do like the odd wheel/engine bay picture but I think cars have a lot more to offer for a calendar.
All down to what gets submittedAgreed though. Cars and the surrounding landscapes are much better than a macro shot of a gearshift or badge.

Question - does this include the greater Auckland region? As in, to just north of Te Hana (Wellsford), and to Bombay?
We had one out at Clarks Beach once. Although it took ages for someone to go all the way out and get it
Can always give it a shot and maybe have a back up picture that's closer to the city in case no one gets it in a few weeks?

Almost looks like something Subaru NZ would have used as an advert back when the BP was new.
Credit to @Firenza for the original image of course- 4

Gull did there "crazy" 12c price drop which caused a bit of a price battle in Auckland.
Managed to go to Mobil Smales Rd and grab 55L of 98 for $115 after Smiles fuel discount. $2.129/L at the pump and $2.069/L after Smiles discount. -

Saw a snap yesterday that showed one place over 3$ already
That was Great Barrier Island iirc.
They've been paying over $3/l for a while now. -
Did any of you Auckland lot make submissions against the RFT (Regional Fuel Tax)?
https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/have-your-say/Pages/ak-have-your-say-consultation.aspxI certainly did.
Also, fight with your wallet!
I use Gaspy to find the cheapest fuel near me, with Mobil 98 usually being approx 20c/L cheaper than BP.
Haven't been to BP since last year purely due to price difference. -

Email sent...
Look forward to what everyone else submits. I know there's some fantastic shots out there.

Look for some outback wheels, think they are usually better offset for filling guards
