  1. No real photos of the process unfortunately, will snap some when I do the fronts!
  2. A friend of mine looked into these, I had a look for him also. Personally I though they looked cheap and nasty (prove me wrong?). If you want to go down this route then I'd recommend going with a Grom audio unit or a Parrot handsfree, both slightly more expensive but better quality from what I can see. http://gromaudio.com/store/all-sub08.html - Hyperdrive sell the Grom units. http://www.parrot.net.nz/mki9200.html - I personally have this unit and it works excellently.
  3. So did mine! Thought someone missing there's would be interested ie. JDM model possibly? Been super busy but plan to throw them in this weekend, will update you on the lowered thread!
  4. Good buying! http://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/products/owners-manual-legacy-03-09-nz
  5. Find out this weekend! If I get a chance to get them in...
  6. Picked these up from Rotorua on Sunday!
  7. Got myself some Truharts, haven't installed yet but very impressed with the build quality!
  8. If you still interested I found this on Trade Me, can't guarantee it would fit your sedan though. https://trademe.co.nz/1125172947
  9. https://trademe.co.nz/1120537017 Got my pair, incredible price!
  10. Woo! Finally someone else joins the game! New car subaru_boxer?
  11. Nice one! 8.5" +30. Tyres are already skimmed flat so decided to take her for a spin around the block, major guard rub in the rear, will have to roll the lip (anticipated). Managed to cut a nice groove in the side of these tyres though.
  12. ps. anyone have some adjustables for sale?
  13. Nothing specific here unfortunately...
  14. Somewhere in amongst all of the elements on the rear gate window glass anyway...
  15. ADIKT is correct, my user manual states that it is the rear gate window. I can confirm this also as I had the trim off not long ago and it has the module/receiver fixed to the gate door.
  16. Without lowing the centre of gravity your best bet would be upgrading the sway bars, links and bushings as ADIKT mentioned. Apart from that I'm not too sure how else you would be able improve the handling.
  17. Hey mate, I'm probably not the most knowledgeable person regarding this topic however I don't want to leave you with no response! From what I have seen, second hand tow bars are few and far between and you'd be lucky to find one. I do recall a couple being posted on trade me a few months back (from Christchurch) however I'm 99% sure they were wagon ones. If you did find one then I think you'd be able to bolt it on, I'm fairly confident they're set up to take one (as you mention, there was a factory option). If you haven't already, then I'd recommend removing your rear bumper and having a poke around looking for fixing points and the like. I'm unsure on the status of fitting a wagon bar to a sedan, I wouldn't have a clue whether there are differences between the two though. I have a NZ new 08 Outback with a factory tow bar, I'll have a look at the tag on it and let you know if it states any specifics and get back to you. Josh
  18. Factory rear tints on both sedans and wagons are approx. 18% (correct me if I'm wrong anybody). 4% is definitely aftermarket and will not pass a warrant (as you found out the hard way). Check out this thread, http://clubsub.org.nz/forum/showthread.php?46000-Legality-of-35-percent-tints
  19. Very clean! If you can ever make an Auckland meet I'd be keen to see this in person!
  20. Had my mate bring round a larger vice grip with sharper teeth, did the trick! Definitely nice not having the whole rear end sitting on the control arms anymore!
  21. Bought the car in Hamilton, drove her back to Auckland and it handled like crap (in my opinion), I had to remedy that asap! Have you had your D2s certified? If so, how simple was the process? Did they snag you on anything else? Wondering whether I should go down the adjustable route...
  22. I'll try again tomorrow, for now I'm just going to look at some photographs instead. Day 2: Days there after: Many more days worth of fun to be had!
  23. ADIKT - No success with the bump stops tonight, what size vice grip did you use?
  24. I think they're great! Not sure if yours does but mine allows ipod connectivity, line in and usb playback. Great choice of radio station by the way
