  1. ahh I was getting confused for a bit, I was thinking the C links were something else . Im talking about the Rear sway bar and end links which were both from an Sti, sadly the front sti sway bar doesn't fit my impreza. I was just wondering if I should upgrade the rear end links but It sounds like its not worth it. I think I probably confused everyone now lol... even myself
  2. Nah, the 16mm impreza sway bar end links and the sti 19mm sway bar end links (which came with the sti bar) are straight with thingies on each end to connect to the bar and control arm, not the C shape.
  3. That is helpful but has anyone here installed aftermarket endlinks and think its worth it?
  4. I googled this but didn't find what I wanted... What do aftermarket sway bar end links do exactly? Would they be a good idea on my Impreza? I already have an Sti rear sway bar which made a huge difference in stiffness/bodyroll and would some decent end links do anything?
  5. Doubt it Learn Manual and get a Sti, worth it (your wife will like it too:))
  6. my experience with knocking ended up with a Corolla with a ruined bearing(s). I think it was just chewed up as the oil level was off the dipstick and probably starved from oil, I never actually drained the oil or anything but that would have been interesting lol. Question: will a blown head gasket thin the oil?
  7. Really? you actually saying I never drove on them? I didnt drive heaps on the re002's but the re003s I have driven on them a decent amount and I still do. I have had my license for about 2.5 years btw. I still say they are decent tyres overall meaning the price, wet and dry grip are good. Sure track/sports tyres will be better but this is a daily driver and look at the original post, he says he is a cautious driver and will not drive it hard so he will not benefit from anything high end and im only taking a guess that most of those tyres you mentioned are more expensive. You are probably right, I was just giving my opinion like everyone else, it doesn't matter if im young or inexperienced.
  8. Yes I have driven on both re002 and 3's. What I was saying was RE003 are decent all round tyres, you know mighty car mods(youtube them if not), Marty has re003's on his turbo Ez36 Legacy with around 350kw (if i remember correctly) and its his daily. he also took it on track and he is extremely happy with them. Maybe zetums are better, I have never used them but I was just putting it out there that they were decent.
  9. Aww that sucks, my car got backed into a few weeks ago and that was bad enough... Can we get any pics to see how much damage?
  10. Some very decent overall tyres would be the Bridgestone RE003's or even RE002's. They are one of the best all round tyres for daily.
  11. Have you installed yet? lmk if you like it. II recently put one (a cheap one) on my car and its damn good. Good old Santa .
  12. Wow, yea thats very nice. Pretty decent limited edition I see. I wont be buying quite yet but when I do I will definitely check and see if this is still available...
  13. Nice, what are the 3.0's like? I almost had one of them as my car now but never worked out, sadly I didn't have my full license and wasn't allowed to test drive it. I suppose they would be much different than turbo ones aye? I will take a look at those posts Is it on trademe? Gimme link
  14. sound about right, its in the budget and I will be doing a few mods but nothing too big. Okay I see. Cheers for pics
  15. Yes Wagon mafia all the way I though about importing but I was told that Turbo Subarus over 10 years old generally dont pass emissions (yes the world is crazy). Maybe I can import a legacy? Im not sure
  16. okay will take a look. Yeah the Sti would have a much better power/weight. Yes definitely manual
  17. First of all, I don't know much about legacy's and the makes and models etc. I have been thinking of getting a legacy instead of a wrx or sti because they are probably a bit cheaper and I think they look very decent especially with a drop and some nice wheels. Im thinking of spending up to 12k max. I pretty much just want good handling, decent power, low kms etc (has to be older than the 2009 ones, they don't look good imo...). I know there are so many legacy whisperers here so I wanna know what year and model you guys would recommend. Or should I just get an Sti...
  18. Filled up with oil, found it was well below the low level. was not happy when I saw that... lol
  19. Lol thats epic. A 1.5 fwd must be painfully slow...
  20. Looks sweet man! Do you live in Wellington? May have seen this car before
