  4. ^^^^ This. As a daily driver is there really any point in having a gazillion KW?? I can see the point if its a daily driver/sometime track beast but as you have stated you are gonna have an Impreza as a track hack it seems pointless to me. Why not just chuck a factory setup in there and make decent, useable power all day every day and make the impreza into a fricken BEAST! RAWR

  8. Im trying to have a serious conversation here, mr Wiretap. There is no need for insults. There were a couple of examples of HX20s being upgraded and supposedly keeping up with STis in gymkhanas going around.

  10. hmmm plus the first one has a totally messed up intercooler!! every time i opened the bonnet id be pissed off with all those bent fins lol. check in that first one for signs of caging being removed. Wouldnt surprise me if it had done a bit of rallying in japan.
  11. well it could be the option. How about try and mod a Laufen spoiler from the S15??? From memory they look very similar...perhaps a touch longer
  12. any mechanical equipment will treat you aswell as you treat it. be harsh on them and dont put good fluid in etc and they can go with a half harsh launch. be nice to them and they can last a long time. If you are running around 200kw atw with a grippy clutch and giving it death all the time you will break the 5mt in a wrx or gt legacy. strengthening or 6mt would be best.
  13. Are you sure you actually werent, um driving over hundreds of tiny bumps ie something like road that hasnt been smoothed out yet or something like that??? you sure you dont have anything else in the drive train set up incorrectly??

  16. Nail. Head. I know you are interested in "the journey" but lets be honest we have heard all this before. And your journey hasnt taken you far thus far. Im not trying to say Reubens wont, as he has actually acheived a fair bit. Let the guy answer for himself please, as Reuben actually has something interesting to add usually.
  17. My reasoning behind it all remains. a strong 2.0 block can be build for peanuts(comparatively) and for a streeter the benefits he would get with the other engines mentioned in the thread......well......the cost would outweigh the benefit.

They are some of the finest engineered small engines around from a performance perspective. most of the fools that do them up are gay, though. For what they are, hondas are tough.   20. if it retains the 4wd and 2.0 boxer turbo all will be good!! I personally dont mind it. Looks very 370z ish as mentioned. Could be a demon or a dog. all will be revealed!

  23. dont want to offend but if you are messing around with N/As at our type of budget the only way to roll is Honda IMO. Anything else you are just pushing **** uphill. AVCs heads sound intriguing but trailblazing costs more $$ and the overall effect wont be worth it on a N/A Turbo diff story....worth it then
