  1. its not like we're not paying them.. $50 bux is 5 meals for me.. lol.. plus.. most apartment parking spots make it quite hard for you to wash your car..
  2. They are effing useless on a Sunday.. Waited for 1hr 30 mins for my car to get cleaned... There were 4-5 cars ahead of me.. with 3.... yes JUST THREE peeps working on the cars... Could've at least warned me of the wait..
  3. not sure what factory settings are... but i generally go with article as a guideline.. http://autospeed.co.nz/cms/A_111375/article.html
  4. Logics got me too.. ><.. mindf***ed.. i can see the point in cooling vanes having to be oriented that way.. but I guess which way the gases get expelled via the slots doesn't make enough difference to matter..
  5. yeah.. i was wondering about that.. but have seen rotors fitted both ways... the vanes are there to expel gases and debris from the pad/rotor surface.. the direction of the slots would probably dictate where the hot gases (outer edge or centre hub) of the rotor i guess?
  6. Work was done by Alex at Highbrook.. Awesome workmanship, went the extra mile to help test fit the 4-pots with my rims.. and always there to offer good sound advice!
  7. Can't say that I have. Though heard good thing about them.. They are a step higher than the DS2000s... both performance and price wise.. for everyday driving and the occasional track day.. i'd stick to DS2000s...
  8. I'll let pictures do the talking Went from this: To this: Also fitted an aftermarket downpipe... That O2 sensor of mine is now going whack.. ><... Will replace the narrowband gauge with oil press soon.. Now I have left over this: and
  9. NAC has got nothing to do with AMI.. NAC is part of the IAG group.. so no worries there..
  10. A few posts on brakes on here give this general message.. pads, fluid, decent standard rotors (ie machined and still have life in them) Flush your brake system out and fill it with decent fluid. the RBF600 or 660 are very highly regarded. Decent set of pads. TS2000, or Bendix Ultimates if you can get them cheap (have heard more downsides than upside on these).. The Mintex pads I've seen pop up alot are the Mintex 1166, though going by their catalogue, they might not have any for Subbies.
  11. If all you're going to be doing are driving around the street and long trips, ie average road user, OEM rotors and pads are quite sufficient. If you're more of a spirited driver, then a change of rotors will be good. I would say slotted rotors are good, but most importantly you'd want ones that could withstand the heat/cool cycles so as not to warp as easily. In terms of good brake pads for both track and street, I've been recommended Ferodo TS2000s. I hear Bendix Ultimates are quite dusty (well.. so are the TS2000s) and they are quite harsh on the rotors. My car is at the garage at the moment and they've just fitted 4-pots on mine, and the stock 16" WRX rims fit over them with a reasonable amount of clearance. Worth a try with the BBS mags. I'm having Pagid Blue pads put on the 4-pots, recommended by Steve at Racebrakes. Not sure what the details are, so will need to read up on them more..
  12. the extended height whale tail spoiler looked poos! esp the ones with the carbon inserts..
  13. not sure if it applies to wellington. but all you smartphone users, check in to Burger Fuel on Foursquare and you can score a 2-for-1 burger deal!
  14. used to drive down from Chch very regularly last year... very surprised at the number of subbies down there! spotted my twin V7 on george.. had a long exchange of looks... lol
  15. have my time booked in for some work to be done on the bug! hope it runs well for MM ;P
  16. yeah.. the first thing i'd look at with bad fuel consumption is the O2 sensor..
  17. my boost gauge is tee'd off the blow off valve vac line..
  18. I would check to ensure your O2 sensor(s) are okay first..
  19. hahaha i chuckle at sponsor stickers (that they obviously don't have)... enough soft toys to entirely block your view out the rear windscreen... huge spoiler/wing on a car with no kit/ running at stock height and stock rims.. and sad to say, (at least in chch anyways) the main culprits are asians.. ><
  20. yeah.. after driving the whole way up from Chch to Auckland, I must say the roads down south are a lot better... even the surface finish was a lot better... roads up north are alot rougher and bumpier..
