  1. exactly the same here. 10/11psi primary, 14/15psi secondary/both. Stock exhaust, intake, HKS BOV. I'd go with an intake leak, but it doesnt make sense that it starts at 14psi then drops. From my experience, intake leaks did the opposite, real slow to make boost. A similar thing happened when my secondary intake was leaking, dropped from 14psi to near nothing, but that happened at the usual changeover point (4500k rpm ish iirc), not as low as 2500 rpm. Its almost like when it makes boost, it opens up a crack/split in some hosing, or forces something open with the pressure, causing it to drop. IDK though.
  2. Ive seen flexi plates break off from the crank (cracks around the bolts holding it on) before. I'd say box off, new flexi plate and away you go.
  3. Tested mine, its about 10psi on primary. Thats all factory, except axle back FGK exhaust. 14PSI is a pretty good indicator something isnt working right. Could it be that its overboosting, and the ECU sees this, and throws the car into limp mode, hence the 4psi limit? That wouldnt explain the secondary still working though, hmm. If the system was running in accidental parallel, it would be laggy as hell.... not 14psi at near idle
  4. Ditto here, and on top of that when its on secondary its usually pushing quite hard to get your license removed from your wallet. And thats in a car thats double the weight of this little beast!
  5. The VOD in my RevA BH isnt too bad (MY99 should be RevA?). Would hate to think of how quick it would be with only 800kg to move, when it hits the secondary. I do plus 1 the conversion to single before putting it in though. Much easier system to work with.
  6. all standard? pretty sure my primary doesnt do 14psi.... only like 10psi. I would think (i hate to sound like a broken record), possibly a boost leak, or vacuum leak. Check codes, and check all hoses are crack free and clamps tight? cant wait to single turb mine... the twin system goes mental for (apparently) no reason, WAYYY too often. There is always a reason for it though, but its usually an ass finding the reason.

  8. Nice BH, bet it goes hard! Out of curiosity, what have you needed to do to the wiring to get it all going, and what headers are you using on it? Looking into doing this to mine later on.
  9. tbh if it were me, i'd start by whipping the TMIC off, and checking everything under there, and then work from there. bit easier with the IC off. Be warned, its an ASS to get back on.
  10. sames as what i had. Sometimes it would boost hard, and sometimes nothing on the secondary at all. Tracked it down to a loose hose clamp. Might be a split in some of the intake hosing somewhere?
  11. Lol, too slow sorry Swapped my old high k alfa romeo for it. Unless the WOF guys are ***s, itll be warranted tomorrow. Woot. And yeah, aftermarket covers over the standard mirrors. Didnt like them at first, but figure that anything that helps people see me when im driving, is all good.
  12. I had the same issue in my old BG5A when one of the intake pipes for the secondary had a loose hose clamp.

  15. Never had to file a report, only contact via phone that night, and a 'survey' to fill out about the car (asking for more info) about a month later. Thats it. According to carjam it is reported stolen. Would a follow up call to the police be worth it?

  17. Surprised you didnt have it insured tbh, especially after all the stolen cars in CHCH lately, including my skyline. Jake the muss has a valid point though, where/how did they meet you? Surely they turned up in some form of transportation?

  19. Shouldve told the police they assaulted you... police mayve cared a bit then. Sure didnt care when my car was taken either. From now on im taking photos of the licence of anyone that tests drives any of my cars, and uploading them to facebook before they drive it (iphone = 3G upload).

  22. Listed on behalf of mate plate is DFZ684 Car was stolen TONIGHT, about half an hour ago whilst being test driven (basically carjacked by test drivers). Taken from linwood ave. Its white, no fog lights, no rear wing, black split 5 spoke wheels wheels. lowered (tein adjusties), couple of stickers on the tailgate. Has gauges in the center console above stereo. STI seats. Single turbo. Will be hauling ass where-ever its going i imagine. Text or call 027 469 6579 if spotted.
  23. if its a GTB as per your sig, you wont need to redo the loom, its just a couple of small mods (no doubt Reuben will get into when he gets there). If it was a BG5A not BG5B (B is gtb) theres a high chance of a repin or reloom due to the 4 plug ecu.
