  1. Okay, so 10 & 12 were in the wrong order on the manifold end. And the ecv or iav both didn't move. I swapped those to their right spot. Went for a drive, iav and ecv both began working in diagnostic mode. But I'm still having the cut out at about 3k revs and boost was about 2/3 psi. So at the moment. ECV is working IAV is working 1 is correct 2 is correct 3 is correct 4 doesn't exist 5 is correct 6 is correct 7 doesn't exist 8 is correct 9 doesn't exist 10 is correct order onto manifold 11 is correct order onto manifold 12 is correct order onto manifold 21 is correct 22 is correct 23 is correct However, 10, 11, 12, is where the B4 diagram differs from the gen2 (BG5) TT. 12 has a T piece that runs through an air filter into the firewall. This line into firewall is numbered, but looks correct? Both 11 & 12 are on the correct pipes across the top of the manifold. 10 travels across the top of the manifold and drops into the air intake before the primary turbo, and Ts off into the guard. But my 10 looks like the hose \10\ diagram. I also have an extra pipe which comes from the passenger side off the manifold which has no home/ doesn exist on your B4 diagram.   2. When I run my96 BG5 TT in diagnostic mode. The secondary turbos ecv rod does not move. I have read through here and pushed it down, it slowly pushes back up and 'snaps' back into position. I have had my engine out and rebuilt. It has been sitting for about 15months. Car runs fine but absolutely zero boost. I have a boost gauge. I have cel 66 (and 21 which I believe is a coolant sensor.) My car was put back together by people who have no idea about the TT system (I'm in Aus), so I'm obviously worried lines etc haven't been out back correctly. Any ideas?
  3. Hmmm.. I\'m still baffled. When you look across the top of the top hat and slowly spin it, one side is obviously lower than the other two sides.. There has to be a reason for that..!?
  4. Regarding the front shocks, I\'m aware which strut is left and right, however I\'m wanting to know which way the angle in the tops hat should be when I bolt them in. The front top hats spin obviously, and they also have a slight angle. Which makes me think I. Cannot just bolt them in any old which way! ??
  5. I had a knock for a few months.. Pulled the strut out and realised there was no nut on the bottom of the shock that holds it all together! Sheet myself when I came across it!

  7. The short and curlys of it are, my engine is coming out for some much needed maintenance + I have a suspected blown head gasket. I have been in contact with samco Australia about replacing all of my coolant lines with silicone in the attempt to eliminate any possibilities of old the hoses causing my head aches. Samco do not do a kit for the gen2 twin turbos, however if i provide the part numbers they can help me out. My question is, does anyone have a full list of part numbers they can post up or alternatively if anyone has replaced hoses previously with genuine, could you please post up the part numbers so I can begin cataloging them. Any help is muchly appreciated!

  13. So I need another switch and just use one of the spare slots. Wiring, will have to be left up a sparky.. One switch for driving lights (factory) and another switch for Spotties..?
  14. My car is 96 GTB and the bumper on it has the little fog lights with the turn lights. I have since replaced this bumper with a Ltd Edition bumper that has the big round spots, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with how to hook them up? Do they just need their own switch like the small fog lights already have, or are they wired into the headlights, for example? Cheers

  17. I'm chasing a Limited edition bumper. I've come across one, however it comes with no lights and has a price tag of $500! Questions, is that what these bumpers are worth? Also, fog/turn lights can be sourced from the std bumper I'm assuming but can the round spotties be sourced aftermarket, repco or supercheap for example?

  20. Regarding number 2. My Legacy does this too. I pull up to a red light and once the car is stopped, it doesn't roll. My rears are very worn and my fronts still have 4-5mls of tread, is the tyre wear the real cause? And, if I have't driven it for, say a week. When I first move it, the breaks squeal and they feel like they have seized on until I've about 50mtrs..? Is this also related?
  21. Oh.. I've got the top ones. The diamond pattern ones do look much better. Where can you get the diamond ones? Driving onto blocks sounds like a good idea though!
  22. I'm listening!! They're just the snow sweat - easy fit chains you can buy from most of the auto stores.. I'm using them on my 96' GTB Wagon with the standard 17" rims. Any tips would be great
  23. Test fitted snowchains and now not looking forward to fitting them in the cold when its most likely on a wet gravel road...
