  1. Think he is talking about my heads. I sold them..hpe have a guy that works there is very well known for excellence in hand grinding work. It's not what I asked gavin for tbh. When I first dropped the heads in I asked them if they had the program to cnc the heads to ej25 cc and gavin said yeah yep we do sweet as after waiting about 1 month I returned to pay pickup and seen the heads had been deshouded this is not what a asked for and the deshrouding around the valve left high spots which will become hot spots not a good thing!after going backwards and forwards arguing with him getying hung up on going in there and embarrassing him in front of customers -3 months later I returned and picked them up.. he then tried to charge me another 500 on top of the 1200 or why I already paid but he told me he would cc and hand grind the heads at no charge lol but because his boy spent al day on them he thought it was justified lol I basically told him to get ***** and I'll just leave without paying anything more. so I payed what was orginally owed for the heads and was glad to see the bk of them.. if you are going to deal with hpe then make sure you drill it in to Gavins fat head exactly what your after or you could end up with something totally different. There is Peter at kennelly camshafts who does my work because I find I can trust him to do the right thing and not overcharge .. I would try him first. Cheers
  2. Hey thanks dude! Yeah I think the same to so we on the same page. I know CC is a very involved job an stress full but it's not like it's a job for just ne one! Like it or not u were picked for a reason lol! Thanks again!
  3. Best way to lead is by example mate.. I have no idea what you do as CC behind the curtains so perhaps I shouldn't have lashed out like that your prob a nice guy but I just think some of your recent post there is unnecessary nit picking.. but that's merely my own opinion dude. Not sure of that's just a Club Captain thing but I don't remember thorpy doing that
  4. There is a $500 reward for information leading to recovery of this car that the father in law has put up.. can pm if you can help and joker sometimes speculation leads to factual information so it can help in these cases when all you have to go on is speculation btw your cc attitude you have ant helping the club grow up
  5. No a legacy won't compare with that straight out of the box but you can improve things depends on the wallet at the end of the day.. take a look in the builds section there are some fast legacys!
  6. I like the old leggy to.. probably more the bc bf shape.. you don't really need to look far here to find nice old leggys members have had and or still have. They are heavier than wrx chassis so that's going to slow it down but it's about your preference and likes really.
  7. Diffenatly an a hell of alot cheaper
  8. Adaptors to run early intake manifold on V5 heads? The distance is also a problem and will need cutting and welding as well as adaptors.. it's a headache and your best taking Clints advice
  9. That's the one Clint. He had a good thing going there as well I remember people where flying him around to get a tune but hey family first for sure!
  10. Who's your tuner clint? There's also a good tuner up around your ways isn't there? I forget the fellas cs name but I remember threads about him traveling around nz doing road tunes etc.. that could be another option yeah..
  11. He doesn't have insurance.. yeah hope it turns up or something for his sake poor guy
  12. Hey I'm not sure on dates but I think you have talk to him about it so thanks for clearing that up! he is my partners friends brother to me so info is kinda vague but seen him post on Facebook and thought I would share it here with the hope someone might have seen it or parts from it
  13. 2nd gotasuby for info.. he has that open book about him doesn't mind sharing his knowledge
  14. You have to take it out ne way to replace it
  15. I think there is 2 types.. where are you based? I have a few around
  16. Totally agree mate guy only had it for a week or so
  17. Is that Fraser that use to work at Armstrong? .. does he do tuning?
  18. Hi guys mate of mine Davey has had his car stolen not long after purchasing it and has no insurance..
  19. Try it out might fit but I don't think it will fit. I no you can't fit a v3 Nardi on to a v4 onwards column.. your best bet is to go after market seeing the steering wheels are 20 odd years old now.. you can get boss kits that will fit the clock spring and cancel indicators out.
  20. Exactly right man surely a tuner would have noticed faulty bits but he didn't notice the car runs worse now though so may have not noticed a faulty part??
  21. Was awhile ago but I don't think it worked at all from memory no clicks or contunions ticking I can't remember but I took it bk to NZEFi and they bench tested it and gave me another which worked fine.
  22. I had to once return a brand new genuine mac 3 port because it was faulty.. not saying it's the problem but it could be
  23. Give Jas(gotasuby) a call and see what he can do for you and give NZEFi a call and ask speak to Walter and see what they can do. I guess I'm just looking at the reputable tune which would be dyno tune not really road tune plus Jas would have been just starting kindy when Walter was tuning cars...just saying
