Found out why my 2nd gear went boom at the track day on Wednesday. After reviewing the Gopro footage from inside the car and looking at the data logs from the Link ECU it shows when my mate was driving it, He downshifted to second at about 110kmphr, released the clutch with out rev matching and it was all over! Looks like will have to rethink about this shared driving stuff.....

They can say what ever they want in their warranty that's the whole terms and conditions they set out. If they say certain things are not covered then they wont be. EG as per Subaru NZ website What Is Not Covered Wear and tear caused by use of the vehicle for racing, rallying, speed trailing, hill climbing or similar activities or competitive events. so don't expect it to be covered. Anyways it is sweet to see someone modifying a new car as most wont, would be sweet to see how it goes on the track and just how much power it puts down in its current state on the dyno

Why people do this while under warranty and expect it to be covered is stupid. On the other hand if you got that much money then just do what ever you want to it who cares if it blows up just buy a new car

HAHA that's utter BS!!! Easy to get insurance at 18 on a lot of cars, just not brand new or high performance unless you are prepared to pay a lot for it
