Leone 4x140
Toyota 6 stud is actually 6x139.5
so not 100%
I have started doing a set of front hubs and rear DISKS
dont think I will ever install though
you can also just redrill a set of 6 stud rims as well ( 2 extra holes )
Yup most certainly clutch slip, nope cant be repaired, needs to be replaced, look at around the $1k to do properly ( unless you can do it yourself then maybe 5-600)
I would change the gearbox oil to the correct oil, the oil in it is either wrong or old,
I'll jump
Subarus owned
First one ( sorry bad scan)
1984 RX coupe

Non Subarus are really only 2 vehicles
1991 Toyota Landcruiser 75 series troopy I own (since '92)
and my current "truck"
2005 Toyota Hilux SR5 D/C
Doesnt sound like you have a rear diff out of anything turboed as AFAIK they all come factory with some type of locking diff (either plate LSD or Viscous LSD )
Ok guys I am looking at purchasing a Diagnostic Computer for my Business, seems like I need one to do the simplest of tasks ( resetting the Service Milage on a Sprinter) I have various OBD11 scanner apps but none of them go deep enough ( like doing forced DPF regen burns) looking around I see most are between $4k and $10k.
Have any one had any experience in these, it has to read 2000- Toyotas including Coasters also Mercedes Benz sprinters, has to be able to do DPF burns, log and be robust.
I am liking the Launch X431 Diagun and have sent them an email, have already investigated the WURTH one but no DPF burns ( as seems that a few dont do)
Thanks
Demo
well I have bad news and worse news
Just looked thru my parts catalogue and workshop manuals and neither mention the Hydraulic Suspension so even going to Subaru for parts maybe be a dead end
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
there is NO and I mean NO information out there on them, I have seen one setup in a Leone wagon ( skier special I believe it was branded)
mines in a million bits so I can look it over and see if I can figure out how it all works,it has hard lines from the front to the back, and flexi from these to the struts ( they look like brake lines)if you have a leak then that would explain them going down and losing fluid
the front he has changed the struts, so pretty easy, the rear still running the torsion bars by the look, so not sure how he has done that,
if he is running an EJ22, then probably a EJ box so front axles are easy, rears not so much ( unless he running a later Diff)
ask him to come back and have alook, he will have some supporters here as LPG + Supercharging make alot of sense to me
have been wondering this myself,
wondering if say a legacy hub can be made to fit into a leone boss, maybe with a mix and match of bearing inner and outers, I may have to have a good look at it,
Failing that a six stud conversion is easy, machining for a 5 stud would be a mission as the centre spigot would be to small for the existing hub so would involve a 4 stud to five stud adapter plate which is doable but not sure how legal
yup thought of doing the whole conversion including the doors ( love the flush handles)
havent totally said no ( still have all the parts) but was put in the maybe one day pile
The question I have is it the air or the hydraulic set up as they came with both, if it is air then you are screwed really, if hydraulic then not so screwed but still pretty screwed as parts/info are pretty much non existent, saying that I have a full hydro set up in my shed which was going to be put into my RX one day.
Lowering it is pretty much a custom job as with me searching for years there is no one who does lowered springs for them(can raised one though) so you will need to get springs compressed and struts shortened. My idea was to get the hydos shortened so on low it is legal but if I needed a couple of extra inches then I could pump them up.
You can use ATF in them BUT I would use proper Hydraulic oil ( like excavators use)
over the last week I have spent a heap of time and money on trying to isolate a noise in my hilux, sounded like a RHF wheel bearing so changed it out nope still noisy, so lied on my back on my creeper with it in gear and 4wd with vehicle on stands and went over every bearing/universal with my stethoscope and could not fault any of them, removed front wheels and checked front rotors for run out, RHF seemed to have 10''' run out so swapped them out, still same bloody noise
so tomorrow will check run out on front rotors again, I am betting that there will be the same run out on the RHF, if so it is probably a run out in the drive flange so not sure if I will replace it or machine it
