really? Its almost what its been designed for Add crank angle sensor (often can re-use points, lock down advance), has single coil driver on it, just use dizzy to distribute spark, you set advance curve.
Or remove dizzy completely, and run coil on plug/wasted spark.
Looking at above picture... it looks the same as the 01+ wrx (centre feed into top tank) so no, not the same as 99 GC8
But as said, i would guess it would be the same unit.
Radiator end/top tank replacement is around $140ish.
5th injector doesnt mean anything IIRC. Its like the antilag on the evo 3(ish?). Its there but not functional.
Then again, i have been known to be wrong
k, its a coilpack, not a distributor. only old leones/some legacys have dizzys.
Who did you buy leads off? it sounds like they have got the pack mixed up?
I just ran sti ones
mount hutt is fun road
as to rubber chains, have had them on the legacy - i prefer them anyday over the chain chains. There rubber ones i have are hard plastic, and have metal studs embedded into them. As good as most consumer chains (maybe not as much as icebreakers) but far nicer to drive with.
hate to be a bubble-burster - but i beat u to it
92 vz wagon, eg33 with megasquirt, rover v6 wastedspark coilpacks, s5 rx7 alloy race radiator, mazda familia aircon pusher fans, along w tein coilovers and a few other nice bits at the same time.
This pic is about 2 months old...
Say goodbye to bonnet catch, aircon and space.
car now running - just sorting out the tune atmo.
will get some more pics when back in auckland.
Currently driving dads VE Calais - handles wellish but visibility severly reduced from the VY
Neither has the balls out - overall power of the Sti, but the torque is pretty mean tho
A commodore with the S-pack handling kit will drive/handle alright - probably better/as well as most new cars that arnt sports bred (so as good as a new corolla/polo/vw/falcon/and probably a standard impreza). People knock them a LOT based on the fact they used to the pre 2004 suspension found in their sti. But iv had a fair bit of bum-dyno time in various 'new ish' cars (used to work at car rental place) and its only the older (pre 00) commodes that have the road holding capacity issues - had some old commy that was like a boat.
Anyway - he lives in qld, theres only 12 corners in the entire country anyway
hmmm. i swear it was other way around when i was looking for bilsteins - they were all for BH wagons
Bilstiens normally go for under $500 a set - i paid $250-300 for a BG set.
Gdluck with the munroes- let us know how they go!
hmm... the biggest issue with the car (03 vy auto) i find is actually changing lanes on motorway - feels to long, and auto a bit too lazy to nip into small gaps. Town its fine.
mag n turbo on some things are rippoff artists - on others they dnt have a clue on prices... i got a set of 17" te37s with brand-new rubber for $800
I would look through trademe for some second hand bilstiens off a GTB of your year - been there before - and they feel magic
may need to pay someone to shorten the shocks if you are lowering at the same time.
