  1. Read a review of this app in Autocar. Said was just as good as the Tom Tom unit in terms of speed/accuracy but you need the cradle. Gps signal isn't the flashest unless whole phone visible through the windscreen by satellite. Also commented on pain in butt if a call comes through. Won't tell you anymore directions or show map while talking.
  2. Turns out that in my case it's a moot point anyway as the officer has not written down my rego plate. Invalid tickets FTW! so this is a free learning experience
  3. Removed illegal writing from rear window, cleaned up spilt contents of lunch box. Oh, and investigated very worrying fuel smell in cabin. Turned out I stood in puddle of petrol at the servo. :-X
  4. Good call on wing. Personally, I am so short the parcel tray is more of a visibility hinderance than any damn writing! ;D
  5. So have just had a "lovely" uniformed officer inform me via a $150 fine that having for sale written on your rear windscreen is illegal. Turns out that the same laws for tint strips apply to the rear window too. Ie no bigger than 100mm and only at the top. Just thought might like to know. You can have fine wiped by removing writing and having window sited at station by an officer. Big question is: what about louvres on filthy old XF Falcons? Those slats are thicker than the writing I have on window
  6. If it won't move when it should= WD40 if it moves when it shouldn't= cable ties Only tools you will need.
  7. My car scared the s*#t outta me when testing a 0-100km/h timer app on the iPhone. IT WAS AWESOME!! but now I gotta refil petrol tank :'(
  8. Finally refilled I/C sprayer. And windscreen washer bottle. Checked oil. Still black as. And of course, clean brake dust off wheels
  9. Workmate took her BMW 320i to her "mechanic" friend who told her runnin rough due to crap in the carbie. Where's the carbie? Under the injector manifold. He also told her "it feels like it's got a little bit of turbo up around 4500rpm" want to meet him just to kick his teeth in.
  10. Sweet thanks. One more thing: do you need to heat up fibre mat to stretch into crevasses? Little crevasses that is. I have bitten off way too much with this project
  11. Oh yeah. Sorry. Shoulda put that little bit of info in
  12. Do you of any? I only lived here 6 years and don't get out enough to learn that kinda stuff. Hell I still don't know the name of the street I work on!
  13. Hey does anyone know where one would purchase roughly 2 square metres of carbon fibre? Doing (read: trying and probably failing) a bit of an art project but buggered if I know where to get raw sheets and resins etc. Any help would be awesome.
  14. My V7 Sti also whistles real loud. Can't even hear the exhaust over it. My mechanic checked everything over when I purchased it and gave all clear. I always thought just something VF30s did
  15. I would like to thank the academy for my muppet of the week award... Turns out I havent screwed with those lines (yet). It is intake air temp sensor. well fried. Muppet out
  16. I have a similar problem with my MY01 STI. was running 1.42 kgcm and now only running 0.6 kgcm. Have been freshening up vacuum hoses (crusty and brittle) and now running like a bucket of ... Anyway which restrictor was mentioned? Could a photo please be posted as I am now sufficiently scared that I have biffed this. Cheers.
