i have ran heaps of combos for these wastegates - they allways boost 0.2 -0.3 bar above what tial rates them too
ie i had one spring that would pull 0.7 bar
no purple pumps down there at all? alot of mobil sinergy 8000 (however u spell it) up here
they reckon on the pump that its a minimum of 97.5 octane - i would say its true have had no detonation on it where as the BP fuel would swing - but i think they be mixing the tanks where i was filling up
this switch over thing happened here in auckland at botany bo connect
weirdest thing was - it was 98 - then it was 95 yellow pump for a week - then it was back to 98 blue pump - last time i looked it was half the pumps yellow and half blue
hmmm that instantly stopped me using BP fuel and switched to mobil as the last time i filled up at that BP (they were all blue pumps) after 1 track day i could see detonation on my spark plugs
switched to mobil and never had a problem - mixing the fuels in the tanks maybe ? not sure but definatly put me off BP after using it religiously since my first turbo car
bloody subaru drivers ehhhhhh
that tyre looks brand new to me - nissan drivers dont think tyres are fucked untill the wires are hangin out and sparking down the road
love the racing red exhaust !!! everyone knows reds the fastest colour !!!
will be looking out for ya car too bro ive entered mine too - finally time to show off some custom fab work !
awesome, would have been a good time for a s15 front end conversion.
is it gonna be a drifter?
It\'s been my drift car for some time now - got a lot of custom work done by me def can\'t be driven on the road
And nah I\'m not a fan of s15s - love the round shape of the Zenki !!!
Cert ? What\'s that ?
Car isn\'t a road car lol hasn\'t been for some time now - she\'s dedicated to the track - the straight pipe exhaust and ride height says it all really
When I ran vf22 it was hitting 20psi around 4k give or take - vf23 was hitting 20psi around 3200 if I remember correctly
Vf22 will dick all over a vf28 cos they run out of puff around 6k
just mount it up the top lol - you can have pretty short cooler piping running a twisted turbo with flipped plenum
if u go bottom mount are u making the manifolds and exhaust etc or paying someone?
well i know that if u have the oil drain going into the sump under the oil level it makes the oil return pool which restricts flow heavily which normally results in oil being pushed past the seals
having the turbos lower than the oil level is effectively the same as having the sump fitting below the oil - if not worse because it needs to push the oil against gravity
i cant help but think it will be as smokey as hell
realistically running lower pressure in your tyres will yeild more grip on take off - but resistance once the car is moving will increase - you probably had a lower trap speed ?
