  1. Yeah I was pissed off when I picked it up. Yup have to take it back to VTNZ for the recheck unless I pay for another WOF and take it to another place.
  2. Yup adjusties are certed. I said to VTNZ the certifier said that the TT-ST conversion didn't need a cert because I'm using the standard long block. They just told me to go talk to the local certifier here so I might do that tomorrow.
  3. So I went to get a WOF today and had a list of issues that they failed me on... First of all I took it to a local garage and when I went to pick it up they informed me that my car was too low for their hoist so they took it to VTNZ for a WOF without my knowledge. So, as I expected they failed me on a list of things: 1. "steering system warning light on" - this is because I have a wrx rack in so the steering assist sensor thingy is not plugged in. 2. "align headlights and fog lights" - thought they did this? 3. "cert required for turbo mods, rear sway bar modified mounts" - I have done TT-ST conversion with twisted turbo, do i need cert for this? The modified mounts they are on about is the blue brace where the sway bar bushes are mounted in this photo: 4. "attend play both sides top shockie mounts" - they said theres play in the top hats but they are adjustable with pillow ball, so unsure on this one. What are your thoughts on this?
  4. would be keen to do a cruise during the day sometime. hows your dubby josh? all legit yet?
  5. Is there anything else I can try first as I don't have a hand controller
  6. So did replacing the coil fix it? My car has the same issue. Pulling up to the lights etc with the clutch in causes it to almost stall, and sometimes does stall. It used to rarely happen but lately its been like that every time I drive. Only happens when engine is warm. Changed the plugs last week and still the same, but while changing the plugs I noticed one of the old plugs had a little bit of that green build up. Could that be causing the problem? Been reading around and some suggest it might be knock sensor. Car is BH5 running possumlink.
  7. Did you end up fixing the problem?
  8. I might pop around with Chris if i'm not busy.
  9. Yeah some mechanics have said its fine as long as no metal was cut, but then some other mechanics say since it has airbags its needs to be certed regardless of whats been cut. I'll see what they say when I take it in in a few weeks.
  10. Does anyone know if you need a cert for a front mount on a car with airbags? Some say yes, some say no. I haven't modified/cut any structural parts of the car, only had to cut the plastic bumper. My WOF is coming up so want to find out before its too late and I have to fork out for another cert.
  11. Ok. My concern now is if they might have damaged any of the electrodes during the regapping process and if they are all the same gap now (could be different due to human error?).
  12. I just bought a set of plugs and when they arrived I noticed that they had been regapped. I was after some NGK PFR6G plugs but the guy sent PFR6G-11 plugs to me. From what I understand, the -11 means the gap is 1.1mm. He has regapped them to the same distance as the normal PFR6G plugs and I just wanted to know if this is ok/safe before I install them.
  13. something to do with emissions iirc
  14. yeah thats a mean video bro. would i be able to grab the original footage off you sometime? hahaha love the banter.
  15. Don't think v7 rear hubs would fit on a b4 due to different suspension set up
  16. Heres one that will bolt straight onto your b4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=366777221&ed=true
  17. I have also seen a few BE/BH's with 2pot rears but unsure how they were mounted. Anyone know where i could get adapters made up? Anyone on here with a BE or BH with 2pot rears?
  18. Has anyone put 2pot rear calipers on a BH/BE legacy. I know they have the multi-link set up so later model wrx hubs won't fit. And getting adapters made would require a cert. Just seeing what other options there are to fit them.
  19. don't get cheap ones, get genuine ones. i learnt the hard way.
  20. can someone put up a diagram or a pic of a good way to hook up a catch can set up or is stoffa's way ok?
  21. Does anyone know how to disable the anti hijack feature on a dynatron alarm? The anti hijack feature locks the doors once ignition is on and unlocks when its off. Have tried google-ing it but couldn't find a solution. Any help greatly appreciated.
  22. according to the Ecutek website they can reflash all the BH/BE twin turbo ecu's. Mine is a rev b and my ecu is on the list on their site: http://www.ecutek.com/products/proecu/flash99/ Duno how much it would cost for a reflash tho.
