ECU Fault codes BC5

My cars idle is up the dagnabbiter

Pulled the fault codes and it came up with

34 EGR solenoid valve

55 EGR temperature sensor

56 EGR system

Can any one point show me what to look at???? Are turbo and non turbo EGR systems the same?

I think it might be the valve as I can hear some thing rattle when the idle bounces

Same here and the BC5 Factory service manual I've got doesn't show any of those codes either.

Where'd you get those names for those numbers?

Get some Subaru upper engine cleaner, run it through the idle controller, and reset the ECU. See how that goes.

Hmmm I have reset the ecu 3 times so far

it wont matter that its a gizmo ecu?

would AFM cleaner work in place of upper cylinder head cleaner?

no afm cleaner wont work as a decarber

and gizmo computers are pretty shocking for throwing fits

If you are sure it has an egr valve then I'd disconnest it and see if the idle comes right first off. If disconnecting it cures the idle then you have something wrong with the control of the valve, other wise it's the valve that's leaking exhaust into your inlet all the time that is the trouble. I'd pull the valve and check it isn't carboned up and not sealing when it's closed.

The thing is Im sure my car doesn't have a EGR system.....

I doubt it does. It sounds like your Gizzmo is set up wrong if it's looking for EGR equipment.

Its been working fine since I stuck it in but I did this drift around a long corner and its been doing it since then

i re set the ecu and it idles fine, go for a drive and then it turns to shit again
