01 WRX headlight not working.

Hi Guys,

I have an 01 WRX wagon and i noticed last night when i got home that the passenger side low beam was not going, when i 1st turn the lights on the passenger side starts to turn on and once it warms up it turns off. i do not have much knowledge about lights, HID's and such so i have no idea what im looking at. Can i just purchase a bulb from Repco or is it a little more complicated?

so it lights up and then after a while goes off..perhaps the HID igniters faulty and once warm does not work propery?

have u pushed all the wires in and its all tight?

i can lend u a igniter unit to test out of u can just take the right side one and plug in left side and see if that solves the issue so u will know if the igniter is the issue

igniter is also called ballast in some places

Yea, it warms up then just dies off. Have made sure all cables are secure.

What do igniters look like, ill just test it with the drivers side one if its compatible.

Would i be able to leave the light cluster on the car to do this?

the igniter is abt the size ot a pack of err condoms approx..u know abt 50% bigger than ciggrette packs

made of metal and got tiny heatsinks all around

its behind the bumper

may need to take bumper off

its got a orange insulated cable to the light unit

yer right and left are interchangeable

if igniter is issue leme know as have a spare one after i had similar issue and had bought 2 but only 1 was bad
