Installing standard blow off on WRX

Ive got myself a standard WRX blow off valve and want to install it in place of the atmo one currently fitted, but just wanted to make sure Im gonna do it right!

Car is a facelift 1996 (V3?) WRX wagon.

Current valve piping comes out of the IC goes left (from drivers seat position) and back before ending in the blow off valve. Ive also spotted what looks like the old return pipe near to where this pipe runs, only lower down and slightly buried. Its blocked off by what looks like a rubber cap with a couple of clips.

My standard valve has an arrow on it, I assume that indicates the direction of the boosted air flow?

I guess ill also have to find an extra piece of pipe to get the extra bends ill need to do the plumbing correctly?

Does the standard valve have to be in a certain orientation at all? Like upright or vertical or anything like that?

Ideally, has anyone got a picture of a standard blow off valve in situ, or able to take one for me, just so I can see how its meant to look.

Thanks very much :)

PS Saw a Grey STi coupe with CLUBSUB sunstrip in Welly yesterday, NICE 8)

Well, finally got round to this today, and came across a problem. The tubes which come from the intercooler and from the inlet manifold, appear to be about 1 inch in diameter, whereas the outlets on the valve I have are much smaller. Bascily theres no way that using one size of tube can connect the valve to the intercooler or manifold.

My suspicion is that the valve I was sold is the wrong one.

Heres a pic, anyone know if this is right, am i missing a trick here?

That would explain it then! My car isnt an STi, but it does have the under manifold plumb back, and this valve definately wont fit.

Anyone got the right one? Cash waiting!

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
