Yellows on a non sti ecu

Some of those JDM WRX's run yellows factory.

The oxygen sensor (if working properly) gives feedback to the ECU, and the ECU can adjust cruise mixture by +/- 25%. The difference between yellows and greys is only about 16%, so in theory the ECU should be able to cope with just dropping in yellows.

I wouldn't do it, On wide open throttle the ECU doesn't measure air fuel ratios as the stock ones are narrow band so aimed at cruising and light load,

you will be getting approx 16% more fuel over the whole rev range, so thats a whole lot of wasted gas and possible engine damage.

If you want to upgrade injectors you should either get a factory ECU to suit or even better would be an aftermarket ECU, or a chipped one may work.

I fully agree with this. Many people here don't seem to but there's alot of stuff done by people on here that I wouldn't dream of putting my engine through.

haha dodgy subaru owners, I suppose the stock ECU tunes arn't the best and there not alot bigger so you can get away with it,

though some food for though is that overly rich mixtures can be just as dangerous as lean mixtures.

Most other cars you can't get away with it running very well at all.

Has your setup changed since we did that dyno run Greg? as from memory it was runnig safly?

well a v2 wrx wont have the same sort of hardcore tune as say a v10 sti so yeah im sure it can get away with it, i did the swap without even knowing that it may not work so im stoked that they do work.

I’m now running a mines tuned ecu which added a few kW’s and I have a vf22 sitting in my room. If I do any more mods I think I will defiantly run out of fuel, which would be disastrous >:(

I’m not going to be able to drive it soon for about 6 months due to being away with work, might just get a v7 sti after, who needs a home loan deposit anyways. lol

Once you buy a house you won't be spending money on your car. I found that out the hard way.... :'(

or when your partner/wife has a baby funds get cut and so does car time.. well for me thats how it worked.. lucky I do it for a Job to get the car bug outa me with out spending any $$..

It would be intersting to see how well its running on the Mines ECU. I know with Nissans they don't run very safly as there tuned for the superior jap pump gas.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
