Just been asked to put the “alert” out for the following car that is owned by a friend that I recently did the Targa rally with

Forward this onto anyone you wish, the more the better

Was stolen last night (Monday night) sometime from a mechanics workshop in Silverdale, north of Auckland

Rego on the car was CZN703

Couple of unique things to identify car

No bumpers

Green windscreen banner

No race number on doors

Serpent on front guards

Pleased to inform you all that a member of the public phoned the police early this afternoon. The car only got as far as Stanmore Bay, some 5 mins from Weber Specialties in Silverdale. The car was in a Murray’s garage because it only ran for 5 min and then died under load. Seems undamaged, but Murray will have good look underneatch to ensure all is ok. He had quite a few of his specialty tools, etc stolen; not v nice if you rely on them for yr business!!
